Which clubs are you referring to as I believe your from the Riddel league. The Riddel league is still to decide if a season goes ahead.
RDFL club, but never mind that league won’t play either I’d imagine. This whole thing has been poorly managed by AFL Vic, leagues and some clubs.

Roll on 2021

Turbo, meet Humphrey BB. You'll get to know him a lot better over the next few months. He and the other Rupo posters are all quality blokes who will bring some great debate to the 2021 thread.

It will be interesting to see if the EDFL accept St Albans in as they had a bit of bad publicity last year. I understand the views to branch out into suburbs like Sunbury.

EDFL won’t knock back them back if they apply, just means more cash for the coffers. I heard second hand that EDFL have made some guarantees to Rupertswood including reduced fees for 2 years and automatic Div.1 entry. They are 10-15 goal better team than Sunbury Kanga’s, would be scary to see what they would do to sides in Div.2.

Turbo what does it mean for the WRFL if St Albans leave ? Port Colts left recently and Deer Park seem to be on a steep decline. Could spell trouble for their league. In terms of St Albans off field drama’s at least big Perry Meka has moved on!

Hey Gremlin, I would guess the wrfl wouldn’t like them to leave however they are branching out into new suburbs. What I did hear was a few players left SA this season as they would have preferred to play in a lesser division being div1 EDFL IMO they wanted to leave mainly because of the dominance of Deer Park. It’s an interesting one.
Yeah big Pez is a fiery man but it did make the news. But hey that’s the WRFL crowds and it can get a bit verbal in that comp compared to the EDFL. He might be better coaching in edfl 😉🤭

I agree with your comments on Rupo to a point. Think they should go directly into div1 but why didn’t they let the Sunbury Kangas into div1? I guess each is judged differently but div2 clubs cannot play a year again against a club clearly above div2 standard. That’s not good for anyone.

I think you will find that St Albans WANTED to come to the EDFL for season 2020. The EDFL Chairman advised not now, next year. Where it stands now I don't know however understand St Albans want in.

if rupo and st albans both join next year both will go div 1 and bottom two will get relegated at end of year with div 2 winner getting promoted
means may have to play extra games but can be done with some forward planning

cant imagine there being 11 teams in Div.1. EDFL will have you make a tough call which isn’t their forte. I wonder how Sunbury Kangaroos would feel about staying in Div.2 after losing several players ?

I have a gut feeling they will allow only 1 club into div1 next season to eliminate the bye. That does make sense.

There is no way that can happen now.
The sooner Kyte tells Nick, Mick and Pat to
piss off the better for the whole league.
He is supposed to represent the whole league not just the biggest spenders.

So true
And then there is this just announced
Double standards or a threat that if seniors is canned we will pull out our juniors?

Love how he says he will make the decision. Isn’t there a committee at east Keilor? Guess he really is a Labour Party member. His way or the highway like his leader dictator Dan.

Yes a lot of I in this notice.

However this type of statement is in line with a lot of clubs around the areas that have been affected with high rates of Covid19 cases. I’m no fan of EK but this statement is doing the right thing for his club. I doubt they would pull there juniors out if in fact a season gets underway as that’s a huge risk of losing juniors to neighboring clubs.

Yes, but it should be a committee decision not his decision. Maybe they should survey the parents also. I know a few clubs that are holding zoom meeting in the next couple of days with parents to find out there opinion on whether their club should play. That’s a better option then making it all about me me me like he is doing.
