Im not condoning what Gloury did , however has anyone been given 8 weeks for striking in this comp ever . He was charged with striking , he hit the bloke, been going on for years, the bloke got up and played out the game . Every club has had a bloke reported for striking . Is their any chance we can just look at it for what it is .
Yes the footage is damning and looks very nasty, but the bloke got up and finished the game .
I will say it again that i dont condone it , its not on , but 8 weeks .
I know Im in for abuse and to be called out on this point but Im only looking at penalties given out over the years
Maybe the EDFL will continue to rule with this new iron fist !!!!

It’s just lucky the DP players are tough and both got up. Also let’s keep in mind both were unprovoked and could be classified as king hits well the second one is definitely a king hit, and it’s been all over social media platforms so it’s not a great advertisement for the EDFL let alone West Coburg. I think it’s a fair suspension.

I’ve just watched it again and up till that incident I’m not sure WC player actually had a possession.

No plays up the country was in the game against strathmore at windy hill not a final strathmore player got six weeks as well

I have it on good authority that he actually told team mates before the game that he was going to take someone out.

He deserves every week he got.

Has the WC bloke been sighted yet for kicking the DP Captain ?. I saw it live and it was a blatant kick. Did anyone else see it and where can a replay of the match be found and I will try and pinpoint the incident.

Anyway, Deer Park know how to win flags and they know how to celebrate with a massive turn out at headquarters Saturday night. What a wonderful inclusive atmosphere it was with players, families and supporters all enjoying one anothers company. The players inviting all supporters into the huddle for the team song in the Windy Hill rooms is not something that happens often btw. Tom Mundy is a gun footballer & great human.

Both were putrid acts (amongst a number of others), either way it's just a shame that these incidents continue to occur.
For all of the good work clubs, coaches, volunteers etc put in - it takes one of these acts to undo a lot of good will & it will prevent some people playing.

News coming out of WC is they have no money and if a fine comes their way no money in kitty to pay.

Not going to help them get a few key players that they need to challenge next year.

Also hearing players were rested towards end of season to avoid match payments and few boys not happy.

They are imploding.

The clubs dont need any money , they just ask the EDFL to pay it and they become unfinancial like 7 other clubs within the competition

The supporter pouring beer and dropping the can on a players head is just crap, and assume that’s why Quick reacts like me does. But spitting is no good.
Not one supporter threw a punch Turbo as hard as you are trying to create something.
Considering how close to the fence it was and the low dog swinging hay makes it could have been so much worse. Thankfully the no one ran on the ground like the HS ex Skipper

Doubt they'll be challenging for a premiership for some time.

West Coburg are not a Premier Division club at all. Most premier division clubs will be happy they don't have to play at the Shore Reserve Soccer pitch for quite some time.

I honestly have no idea what you are rambling on about now but I was only talking about the Gloury incident and aftermath, which I watched a lot in slow mo.
Am I not seeing the same footage ?

- Gloury is a dog, shouldn’t be allowed on a field again. Period.

- The first spectator I was referring to was the imbecile throwing beer then dropping it on the DP players face. Did not see a supporter throw a punch, can anyone other than Turbo confirm this happened ?

- The second, “mustard shirt” seems to get aggravated after what looks like Quick spits at the beer can idiot, mustard then charges along the fence yelling empty threats at players. I was calling HIM a typical coward.
Quick spitting (if he did) is poor, but in the street Quick would fold the peanut in half.

- What Martini did to DP captain was equally cowardly and could have caused damage. He should be sighted and suspended which I’m sure he will be.

It’s ironic how hard you are going at WC considering you’ve played the victim card all year for Hillside’s involvement in the other media storm this season.
