Pretty sure their thirds played in another comp (maybe riddles league or something) since the wrfl didnt have that comp.

Pretty sure that was one of the big reasons they wanted to move to the edfl ( to have all seniors play in the same comp)

But why did the edfl close the November transfer window? They used to have a November and a February window. So when clubs sign players, they put the transfers in at the beginning of pre season.

If that window was open I doubt this would have occurred as players would already have been approved to clubs and they could then decline a transfer elsewhere as they are contracted players.

Think you’ll find it was an AFL Vic decision to not have a November transfer window.
It had something to do with giving the volunteers more time off over the off season.

In a memo sent to clubs and leagues earlier this week, AFL Victoria announced it was scrapping the November clearance and transfer window which was meant to begin next week

Now clearances cannot be made official until February next year

“Feedback has indicated volunteer preference is to delay the opening of the transfer periods to February 1, 2023 to provide clubs with an opportunity to have a break from monitoring transfers,” the memo said
 
How convenient Tullamarine making themselves comfortable with jacana facilities as there is also another 1.9million to the works of the pavilion which could help engage the Tullamarine and jacana juniors and Auskick programs

Idk whats happening at Tullamarine but i know a lot of players have left ( including 2s and 3rds). Have a mate who plays for them, they are not the same team as last year and they are batting extreamly thin in terms of two teams. Couple of injuries away from being in serious danger.

Im terms of their facilities, i cant believe they got the go ahead to use the jacana facilites. Unsure of the arrangement with it all but surley if that was happening they could have used jacanas few numbers and tullamarines left overs (thirds and reserves before half of them left) to make a thirds and keep jacana in the comp.

But saying that i am also seeing all thirds ganes must be friday nights and i think oak park and northern saints are sharing jacana reseve for thirds

Hey talkingfooty I think the max excodus is at westmeadows but you are correct there will be a jacana Tullamarine thirds next year at jacana reserve

Your mate mustn't be too concerned about how Tullamarine is travelling if he's still down there playing.

Tullamarine have lost a lot of depth.

And well yeah i thought that might be the go to combine a thirds, but unsure why they didnt do it this year. Given they had a thirds team last year and im sure some would have liked to play from jacana
