Deer Park don't need to train. Never have. Even moreso now they're in Div 2.
DP team without all the named recruits will still run rings around the comp . I am quite keen to see WC boys take it to them - Baravi is huge inclusion, Saad also.. did they fill the gaps Dunn and Archer left? Any bigs?

The Rest

The bottom 2 relegation might be more interesting then the finals this year

Interested to know what everyone thinks on Roxy’s chances this year
What do they need or need to do differently this year
Im told roxy in some strife, low numbers on the track and committed players unhappy.. could be in trouble. Capuano/Elliot .. doesn't extend much further than them, uncertain if they have landed anyone but you can not discount that clubs brand of footy - they'll bang in and surprise a few - in my opinion

Been working near where they are training and they have had big numbers on the track and a few new recruits I believe. Should push for 5th spot. Not sure where you got all that from.

Not sure if they are struggling but will be hard to surprise teams if they are. As for Deer Park if you have 10 players at VFL clubs you won’t see them on the track too often.

20-30 wouldnt be defined as big numbers. Anyway, inclusion of two strong sides + rupo hs both doing well for themselves only pushes them further back - needless to say open slather after the top 3

I see them on Wednesdays and they play scratchy. They have 2 full teams and about 10 on the bench. I'd suggest that is 40-50. Someone is telling you porky pies

Cooper McPharlane is a big IN for them. He is the equal of Capuano/Elliot.

You'd want to sack your source.
Over 40 on the track every night (no 18's this year)
Many players doing extra gym work in their own time.
If committed players are unhappy, then wouldn't they be uncommitted lol

They are not fielding an U16 team

Yeah spot on. Deer park players are all training 3 nights a week at their VFL club. As good as St Albans and West Coburg look, Deer Park will still dominate them.

It really is going to be one of those years.

I know nothing is a given, but it's going to be incredibly hard to beat what is essentially a top 6 EDFL Div 1 side. I've tried to look on the bright side, but that's very hard to do. I guess watching a pretty young side develop will be good and games against the rest of the sides should be very competitive and good to watch.

Agreed on the bottom 2 race. Huge ramifications for the sides who get relegated. One club may be looking at 2 years or more in Div 3.

Big kick how did Craigieburn go last night?

If incorrect good to hear, as I said I don't discredit roxy - always bang in. Take a breath, don't get your knickers in a knot over a forum lol

Or maybe don't believe everything you hear.

At the end of the day, most of the teams should be developing youth and getting ready for a proper tilt in 2024.

I'm not as worried as you.

To me they will most probably be the Airport West of 2022.
Most years have a dominant team. The year before that it was East Keilor.

No team is unbeatable. Injuries will hit, the points cap will put some drag on them at times something that AW didn't really have to deal with last year given a lot of their team were 1 & 2 pointers. They will also be playing at unfamiliar grounds and against unfamiliar game styles.
