I think Oak Park will be very strong. If they keep their list together the additions are very handy
West Coburg have lost a handful of top line players already so they could potentially drop out of contention
Are we talking the same West Coburg who for years have been underestimated? They will be fine. Lost a few, however will give some younger guys a well earned crack. They will be there when the whips are cracking as per usual.

Reasonable comeback to end the year with
It is a nice observation. There is no doubt West Coburg’s average winning H&A margin will reduce from what is has been over the last few years. With that said, they still have potentially the best midfield and best backline in div 1. (The same backline which kept St Albans to 2 goals in last years prelim) They will find other avenues to goals as reckon there is enough talent to still kick winning scores. Time will tell I guess..Reasonable comeback to end the year with

Oak Park are a bit of a smokey for this season… could see them winning the flag!
OP have done very well with the inclusions, can't see them missing finals. Another one to watch TL , they have had a huge Pre-Xmas with their recruits, plus a very good team from last year who would've been more than competitive in Div 1. Tough, even Competition 2025, best Division (for interest and competitiveness) in the EDFL by a country mile

And when the whips are cracking, they do sweet f**k all.
That’s a little unfair. Making grand finals is difficult to achieve. Airport West, Deer Park and Marby were (and are) extremely good football teams. The ability to hang tough and go again, year after year (and being under resourced) is a credit to the playing group. I am sure they believe if they keep stepping up, their time will come. I feel most punters would admire that mindset.

Given West Coburg use bugger all points each week & still sit up at the pointy end of the ladder says they’re doing something right. Their time will come. Some clubs should take a page out of their book
