Not sure Jacana would be too keen on picking up players from craigieburn's reserves side.. From all accounts Jacana are looking at having a crack at taking out the flag next year. Craigieburn reserves side lost one game all year and then choked in finals, going out in straight sets, wouldn't think that Jacana would want to recruit any chokers.

Good on you for making a new account to take a pot shot at CB. Very classy.

Bit hypocritical of the new Jacana coach approaching 2016 Craigieburn players. Little fella must have a very little memory ;) as I think at this stage last year there were some words directed over a coach in a similar situation
Considering craigieburn gave him the opportunity to learn the craft it is disappointing if taking quality players away. Was given the chance to coach the senior side against northern saints as i walked away from the 3 qtr time huddle i over heard a few snide comments about him ranting and raving given we were up by 200 points. No doubt will go well given the proposed quality playing at that level but if that day is the interview he would hope that he keeps the good players onside or it will be a short stint

Hey Willo, maybe he wasn't given a gig at CB next season so had to look elsewhere. Plus it's an opportunity to coach his own side. Most people would have done the same. You will find most coaches take some players with them as its part & parcel of today's footy. But usually out of respect its limited to 2-3 players and not trying to leave your previous club on bad terms. If Cloke & Young head there well that's fair enough as they were only at CB for 2 years. If he tries to take the young talent then that's ordinary..

It's disapointing for CB and it's going to be hard for them to pick up the pieces especially in premier league and with the points system. It does look to an outsider that players only went there for the $$.

Plenty of B Grade players are either not up for the extra commitment that comes with playing A Grade, or they are probably aware that they are not good enough or too old for A Grade. Perhaps these players moving to Jacana fall into this category because no doubt Craigieburn is going to have to go and recruit to be competitive and will squeeze out some of the fringe players who were playing 1s this year.

Happens every year the team that goes up loses a good chunk of there list who would rather play at a lower level.

I'm not 100% but I'm reasonably sure that only a certain amount of players can be cleared from one club to another so it not as though 18 CB Players wil be going to jacana

What a sad story i keep reading when at 23 24 and played at one club your whole life considered not good enough and people wonder why grass roots football is losing ground to other sports when instead of grooming and keeping young kids to play and aspire to play a good brand of football you get blokes that have had a chance at an elite level being AFL/VFL come along looking to feather there nests. Wonder why crowds are dwindling cause most crowds are families come to watch there own.

Biggest gobbledygook i have read on here for a while.. If you are not good enough at 23/24 you either play reserves or move to a lesser division. Plenty of good players in A grade love the club they play for so hang around to play in the 2s. What do you want ex AFL players to do when they are delisted, just retire. It is great they come back to local footy (many back to there home club) and enhance the competition and I would think the crowds appreciate them.

Great reply. And they should also assist with the clubs junior program which really is a big positive at clubs and the families really appreciate it. Ex AFL players giving back to the community footy club is a great thing.

Yeah and taking wads of cash aswell and from experiance being at a club at a committee level junior and senior Snipers not having to train just turning up to games tell me just what do the kids get out of that except paying up to $1000 a family if you have more than 2 kids at a junior level and reserves player paying $450 in fees so we can have the enjoyment of watchin has beens trying to make sure they have a great retirement isnt that why we have super rules. Obviously i have no idea

Any news on Bugden? NFL bound to Bundy or South Morang?

Who becomes early premiership favourite?

Won't be bundy not sure where this came from!
Mernda or south morang !
Has Craigieburn made any moves yet?
The longer it takes for them to come up with someone the harder it's going to be for them compete in Premier?
Anyone heard if they have started there search yet ?

They've got their B & F this weekend so maybe waiting until that's done before doing anything.

Just seen that N. Fletcher from Craigieburn got 6 weeks for spitting at another person. Can someone fill us in as to what occurred as its a very disgusting act by a player at a club that is being promoted to premier division.

A few years ago now, a player also kicked someone in the head before their side went up to Premier division. Not sure you need to mention anything about Craigieburn going up in this post, as its an act that shouldn't happen regardless of if the team is in Premier division, div 1 or div 2. Not sure its relevant at all to mention Craigieburn going up in this post.. I'm sure the player would now be disappointed with their actions.

This player you speak of only received an 8week suspension he also King hit the bloke before kicking him
Just shows how long the judiciary system has been all over the place in this league

So how does it look when a player gets 36 weeks and his team wins the flag?
Are you saying they shouldn't be in premier because of this? #flog
