Was there a big crowd? I was listening in a bit during the last half and it was very noisy.
What happened as Roxy were very, very confident, and clearly the best team during home & away.

Roxy weren't very clean... EK kept it very contested
Decent crowd good weather and a physical contest made for a good day

Who was it?
The broadcast mentioned Roxy gave away a total of 8 X 50mt penalties to East Keilor 0. That's a lot of 50s to give away, especially in a GF.

Some of those were a bit stiff though.... Going over the mark a couple times

See the problem is the GF is played at a neutral venue and you get the best umpires. During the year you might get away with stuff but not in September. Hence why I think they continue to struggle in finals.. You must set standards during the year. I wasn't there, but you can't tell me this player you have mentioned has been well behaved all year and just lost his cool today..

Yeah he has prior form from similar incidents... What was told to me Is that he's not always coachable
If they new he was like that all year why would you play him heard quite few players missed out who played during year most def cost them the game and a chance at next level shame

what are the rules with send offs in GF. Roxy seemed to have a player reported, he voluntarily started to walk to bench, and the umpires called him back.
I think it was to actually make the report, wasn't sure if he was told before he started walking off. He didn't receive a yellow card though so I guess he was free to play after he calmed down?

It's always easy potting selection with the value of hindsight , every grand final , every club , every league , there are line ball decisions made and when you win no one mentions a word , you lose and your a dill , that's the reward of being a club coach , for the one bloke in every comp that wins they are a star for one night and then challenged for the next 360 odd days , its a shit of a gig really

I think we all agree with your comments "but" the good coaches/clubs make the tough, courageous decisions. You must have 22 players committed to running hard at the ball every time. You can't afford to play guys for the purpose of intimidation or going the man in today's football. Pretty sure the player mentioned has form.. Yes some supporters love seeing this stuff but if you want to go forward as a club this must happen. Yes let's put this in perspective it's div3 footy I know, but IMO it's the reason this club goes 2 steps forward and then 1 step back.
This was really there year, but have they missed the boat!! As think East Sunbury are coming hard, Nth Saints will be very competitive, MV will be up there again, CD are striving to move up a division, will Haddy drop down? KP improving, and Jacana from all reports could start favorites with some big recruits heading there under the new coach..
Question: Are they just a div3 club when you add it all up??
Btw- I actually think there coach has done well buts its a tough challenge out there. Ferg was also a good coach and bloke when in the job..

Roxy were a bit soft overall they needed someone to impose them self... But that idiot went about it the wrong way
I thought EK just attacked the footy a bit harder despite being the smaller team... Want factor
From what I hear nobody speaks well of Joel fergason at Roxy... Very disliked
Only caught 2nd half of game.Was a good close contest with EKs tackling a highlight.Some of the Roxy players where embarrassing to be gesturing to crowd on numerous occasions as opposed to concentrating on footy simply pathetic.Laughable. EK where worthy winners.Well done.

13 was another goose didn't really have as much impact as the first final.
don't think you can say 19 cappa was one of the best, his kicking at goal was abysmal.
he missed some absolute sitters.
had a chance to put them 8 points in front with 10 minutes to play and kicking with the wind, it was a huge miss, he looked gutted after the game, his kicking style is auskick level at best which is a real shame given how well he reads the ball in the air and out marks bigger opponents

Cappa for a young kid was super on the weekend..marked the ball well and provided a real contest, cant pot the kid for missing a couple set shots late in the game... the reason for the loss was a lack of discipline and no 2 way running ...Madaffari was super, but to kick 4 from the midfield?
