Last Week i had the privelidge of watching NS mate and from what i saw they wernt that sharp. i personally hope they do go well next season and they will of coaurs pik up a few players but they just didnt look very sharp at training the other night

Cheers, BomberBlitz19:thumbsu::):D:rolleyes::club::heart:

Not sure how "sharp" u expect a team to be in December? But they are getting fit. September is a long time away from December....

I'd rather a coach that bought the gig that takes a team to 2nd than a coach that gets paid 20 grand and takes a team to 9th... but thats just me.

Rumour has it thats the type of coin the 2 coaches are getting at pacco, EACH, dont know where the $$ coming from but im guessing there is a lot Removaling going on and, hope theres enuff in the treasure CHESS for the players!!!!

finished last in B grade in 2009. have possibleworst facilities in the edfl although ....have heard they are getting renovated this year. steve kolinuik is coaching them in 2010 have heard he is a very good coach
Worst in the league? Have you been to Westmeadows or Airport West recently? I am not having a crack at those two clubs but your comment about facilities is a little shortsighted. The renovations are going ahead and everyone is looking forward to the refurbishment. In relation to the coach, Steve is doing a great job and the numbers are looking pretty good for pre-christmas training comparing it to the last few years. PM me if you would like to get in contact with the coach or send a message to the club via www.eastkeilorfc.com, the Number 1 website in the EDFL.

As mentioned above, it is December, I wouldn't read to much into not looking sharp!

EXCLUSIVE: GREENVALE Football Club has beaten off a host of competition to land the prized signature of former Essendon forward Scott Lucas.
After much speculation over his destination following his retirement from a 270-game AFL career, Lucas informed the Jets this afternoon that he would be wearing the green and black in for the 2010 Essendon District Football League A Grade season.
Greenvale president Bruce Kent revealed the signing exclusively to Leader early this evening.
“We’re obviously very happy with the fact that he’s signed at Greenvale,” Kent said.
“No doubt he’s had offers to play at other clubs, and we’re thrilled he sees his immediate footballing future at Greenvale.”
Lucas is expected to become a public face of Greenvale, which is coached by former Footscray onballer Steve MacPherson.
He is the latest high-profile former AFL player to land in the EDFL. Three-time Brisbane Lions premiership player Chris Johnson was appointed coach of Avondale Heights in October, while former Collingwood pair Mick McGuane and Brodie Holland hold coaching positions.

i work with a guy who is mates with glenroy's new coach and the word is he is as fit as he's been this time of year and cos he had an injury plagued season last year is ready to dominate again.
He has dominated our league in div 1 one comp medals and will almost carry the roys to the flag on his own, and if he gets a few recruits they will be unbeatable:thumbsu::thumbsu:.

Has signed, didn't see him but a few of the boys where in the rooms(on the bikes etc), so may have been there.
Did see Nick Raines out there though, looks impressive.
From the Ovens & Murray board :

Nick Raines get's a heap of the footy, runs very hard all day will make some poor decision by foot but everything else he is very good at.
2 time best and fairest winner at Corowa had to leave their for some reason personal issues with the club or something like that someone will know

If Nick has signed, have a crack at his best mate Jake Ryan, if you think Nick goes alright, Jake is better and has been his traveling companion for the last few years.

wouldnt compare pascoe vale to marby paccoe still have alot of home grown players and alot of people who love the club and are building towards a shot at a grade next year

Yeah couldn't compare them either, Marby are reigning a grade premiers while pacco are still chewin it in b grade.

Hey Nicole,

Instead of being on big footy you should be at work picking orders so ur Mother can start wrapping. OK See you in 10 mins.:thumbsu::cool:

As a long time RYan and Raines lover from up the murray way... you got it wrong as far as raines and foot skills??????? the bloke is silky skilled both sides of the body and a class player who runs all day and was one of the best few mids in the o and m and his mate ryan huge heart these two when they were on were the most dominate combo!
on other o and m players to play in the essendon fl higgs and hooper to oak park .. higgs goes good and hooper is a gun.. are oak park div one?:):thumbsu:

Who cares all due respect he played at glenroy!! not much talk on here bout strathmore who have been very active over pre season some very good signings!! puff puff i think u will need more than houcher to save ur club at the moment trying to cover those losses of some pretty handy footballers!!

Rabee has signed mate - great for our club! The bloke is one of the all time EDFL greats and will be great for our development group! Spoke to a handful of them last night and they're stoked to have him on board.

Has Micka James and Jamie Papilia followed "EDFL Legend" Lee Fraser and Shagga Grant to the Bendigo Bombers?

Despite all this - the EDFL may have some potential terrible news - Cain Strangebridge could be headed back to our comp! Apparently Tulla are looking to sign this PEST who once played at KP, Abers (pre season) and Yarraville!

Good Luck with this pillick!!!!!!!

Biggest Signing in the history of the EDFL
Surely Chris Johnson is a bigger signing than Lucas. 3 time premiership player, club captain, Abo team of the century, played for Australia. Lucas will be good. Will he play CHF or Full fwd. If he plays full fwd he should kick 120
