Doutta Stars vs Craigieburn - 33pts

Down on numbers against Craigieburn last time, Doutta's still got over the line. Interesting to see if Carey plays. If so, margin could be considerably greater. Who will stop him?


Oak Park vs West Coburg - 56pts

Oak Park to struggle stopping Destanovic, putting them back on the losers' list.


Keilor vs Aberfeldie - 44pts

Keilor will avenge their loss to Aberfeldie last time around by smashing them at home. Abers have a big few weeks coming up (Keilor, Strathmore, Greenvale) and I don't think they have the firepower to overcome these top 4 sides, ending a season that could have been for the Two Blues.


Maribyrnong Park vs Avondale Heights - 38pts

Avondale Heights caught Marby at a good time in Round 2, defeating them by 4pts. A lot has changed since then, with Marby starting to really play as a unit and Marby will be too strong all over the ground this time around.


Strathmore vs Greenvale - 9pts

In the A Grade Match of the Round, I think Greenvale will sneak away with the four points against Strathmore at Lebanon Reserve. Strathmore took it up to Greenvale on their home turf in Round 2, and will take that confidence into this clash. In recent weeks, Greenvale have played a few youngsters, in Thompson and Provenzano, and it will be interesting to see if Super keeps the faith with Bicer and a few others to come back. With the likes of Becker, Doering and C.Hall firing, Strathmore have some dangerous mids/fwds, but the class of the Jets should be enough to just get them over the line.

SECONDLY if the league do not suspend this guy this league is going downhill quick.

Agree he is one player in the EDFL that could be drafted but perhaps age might work against him. I think you will find the Geelong VFL coach is an old Doutta's player and although I'm sure he would love to have him in his side, would also prefer Doutta to stay in A Grade.

I would think the only way Carey might play at Geelong VFL this year is if Doutta are completely out of the relegation danger zone and looking at the ladder, I don't think they are safe yet.

Surely he is too old to make it AFL level. How old is he? 24? Why would he want to play VFL anyway. If the boy wanted to make afl then he would have been playing at the highest level available from the start and not the edfl.

Is he on good coin at douttas? Surely he could get bigger money in local footy than vfl. I know that everything doesnt revolve around money but surely his afl ship has sailed(but i hope i eat my words, because he is a great player to watch).

Also to Deledio, The way abers have been playing lately, I'm contemplating not making the trip down the calder for fear of a shalacking. 44 points is being generous!!

You definitely came out of a closet!!! Douttas had a bad day on/off the field last week but like the good club we are we will rebound. Unlike Marby come September when the money runs out and egos are deflated.

The ground is a disgrace. I'm no landscaper but surely shaving it lower will help incidence of rolled ankles etc?

Re the 'clean' comment - I never made comments to the contrary, the game itself had a few spiteful incidents and the umpiring was poor at best

The Coach should not have got involved, and I think both the League & the Stars Committee could have sent a strong positive message, that the sort of rubbish that went on, from both sides, isn't acceptable. But I think you're getting a little carried away with the 'typical Douttas w***ers' sling. We aren't all that bad!

This is a joke! Jacana's coach got banned for years when a supporter
come at him, in the car park. And the doutta's coach runs on the field to punch on! EDFL have a look at yourself

i do know my homework and he did come down from the box after the
supporter instagated it. Running on the field is way worse. And the punishment difference is huge
