Its been posted a few times about spike? Just wondering what these blokes are thinking by training at different clubs during preseason? One day training here the next day training somewhere else! So rumours of him being owed money from last year are false then?

word from his mouth is he is keen as to stay, but something happened that dissapointed him and is now still thinking bout leaving, think he will patch things up and stay. and sponsor never gave him anything, seen him get his money from last year given to him in his hand personally, so thats a silly rumor

Teams like marby will fold in the long run, because players like murphy will rape the clubs for what they are worth at the time......!
Tradition and respect etc go right out the door when they sign players like hima and others and it is quite clear the people behind the money at marby are there for the wrong reasons, to buy a flag!
It starting to show at greenvale, a quick fix is not the best solution, bring the kids up and blood them. If Pillios was really looking out for the club best interests he would be getting a ********load of under 18's together seeing they couldnt field a team last year. Im just not talking about getting any tom, ******** and harry just to field a team, have some pride in your club and your colours and make an effort..........!!!
A successful club is built around its juniors, look at teams like keilor and strathmore.....they have had great success over the years and it shows, local footy isnt the winner in the end the
rapists are! When will clubs learn.

it is easier to get seniors to the club for money rather than trying to recruit juniors. Many kids that play and are quality will not move to the lower clubs even if you threw a sink at them. Kids will only go to better teams from their previous club and that is generally because they know the team will be successful. Very rarely you will find a few good players moving to a worse club. I do know one club payed some of their players to come and play a small amount and they finished 2nd last in U18 A. I found it bad enough that they play players for and underage team. If you look at Douttas, Abers, Strathmore and Keilor, they get all the good players from the area in U16s and U18s and that is why they dont need to do a Maribynong and spend big. Saying that i dont understand why Strathmore are spending up when they have so many talented juniors.

Guys for what its worth, spike will play with west this year and that is coming from one of their assistant coaches. Other big news is that Ty Zantuck will play with roxy this year. He had a chat with Rombo over the phone and the deal will be done when he gets back from Brisbane

Nice try hammer, absolute fabrication of fact, Tony Tilliaviridis is coaching the U/16's at Marby, tilla is a very staunch former champion marby player who will no doubt be very good for the kids, there were 19 U/16 players at Marby last night, Junior sign up day is this Sunday for any players interested in joining Maribyrnong Park, the club fully expects to fill all junior sides.

So spike was a payed up player with oak park in 2005! Well its been said the reason he is training with oak park at the moment was to receive his money that was owed to him for the 2005? Is that true?

Heard EK signed J.Barns again for 2006 and shaun smith! Bicer has lefted greenvale for more money, J.Tate has also left gone to strathmore.
They will both find hard this year, But dont underrated greenvale they have huge pockets with a ********load of money. Think they are talking to a few ex AFL/VFL players!!

Mate all us West Coburg supporters just need to shut up and let the onfield results do the talking. There is really no need to have a go at Matty Pillios and Marby on bigfooty. Lets just leave it on the field guys and I am confident the mighty West will deliver!

All this talk just makes West Coburg look worse and we are better than that. Lets stick to footy! GO BURGERS!

Matt does a hell of a lot to promote the league, something that had been sadly lacking in comparison to other competitions in the past.

He's in a difficult position being a media representative whilst still playing in the comp he promotes. He attracts his share of unfair criticism, but he's doing a great job for the EDFL, worth recognising.
