PLAYING CONDITIONS
KEILOR SPORTS CLUB
2006 NIGHT SERIES.

1. Entry Fee for each Club is $150-00 payable prior to commencement of the competition.

2. Footballs and umpires will be provided at the expense of the Keilor Sports Club.

3. Prize money will be determined after the final team numbers are confirmed, but will be at
least $2000 for the Grand Final winning team.

4. Each team will be required to provide two officials for each of their matches to act as;
(i) Umpires Escort and (ii) Timekeeper.

5. Each match will consist of four 20 minute quarters, with no time on.
Quarter and three quarter time breaks will be 5 minutes duration and half time will be 15
minutes. Games will commence at 6.30pm and 8.30pm

6. For the benefit of spectators, one team in each game will be directed to wear white shorts. Please ensure your players are advised accordingly.

7. Teams will use dressing rooms and interchange areas as directed.

8. Teams will be permitted 4 interchange players.(or more by mutual agreement)

9. Each team will be required to provide team sheets prior to the game.

10. A ladder will be compiled in the normal manner.(i.e 4 pts per win
2 pts per draw, pts for and pts against and percentage.)
The top 4 teams after the round robin series will contest the semi-finals. 1st will play 4th
and 2nd play 3rd. The two winning teams will play off in the grand final. Extra time will
be played in the semi finals and grand final if necessary.

EDFL teams, and this is from memory, Keilor, Oak Park, West Coburg, Westmeadows for sure. WRFL, St Albans, Albanvale. RDFL, Sunbury Kangaroos & Rockbank. Possibles, A/Heights, Glenroy and Spotswood.

Hope this helps you and remember they are not 100% confirmed although I can confirm West Coburg have entered!

The rumours about myles quinn are true. He is on massive money however my last post contained a typo the correct figure is $22,500. I know some members of his family that are very upset he didn't join OX, in particular his uncle who is a former board member of OX. Myles came to melb to work, and was assured a job at Quinn & Quinn on Church St Brighton. If myles didnt succure a job with OT's he would have worked at Q&Q and played for OX out of loyalty for Jeff and Andrew. He is a huge guy standing 6'5'' and weighs 105kgs.

Bomber you are obviously very pro stathmore so i dont want to upset you more than i already have. I know lots of edfl officals and they were the ones that told me about absent player payments, however not to their star players. This was also a rumour favoured by Deefer the keilor man himself. Also they talked of some stuff up with runnalls, however i know you doubt that.

Also dont forget about the bacon option for Moonee Valley hot dogs.

Very quickly a-grade from last year could be something like this, but i know im forgeting some players.

Matty if Andre Lakkis has signed with Marby on the figure of $450 as Travvy43 said when speaking to him you would think we would be one of your better players and at least get invited down to train with the Rep side, or do Mardy throw that sort of cash at anyone.

As much as everybody has there opinion on Marby's money spending (or G.A's personal contribution) I very much doubt he is getting this. He is either pulling somebody's leg or somebody has just thrown it in.

Too be honest I have only seen him play half a final from a DVD and heard a bit about him and I have missed the past fortnight of training as I have been overseas.
Heard he is more than handy, but B Grade is a very strong 2nd division comp.

Mate I could not agree more!

A few weeks ago this site was great with good footy talk and some top posts by Matty Pillios. Unfortunately there are a few idiots who have come onto the site and have really ruined it. Some of the abuse Matty has copped is atrocious and he has every right to reply but Matty dont lower yourself to their level mate you are heaps better than that. This site has not gone down hill because of Matty Pillios, infact he has increased dramatically since he has come onboard.

I am a West Coburg supporter and as I have said before I would be very dissappointed IF these blokes posting rubbish are from West Coburg. If they are lets focus on winning on the field than abusing off it. I am proud to be part of a great club like West and look forward to big things (hopefully) in 2006! Lets get this site back on track.

Matty keep up the great work of promoting the EDFL but just ignore these morons from now on mate. If you take the bait they will keep coming back! Lets get rid of them once and for all!

News just in people, big Tarz is of to Boort, you can be sure the boy's at NCS will miss the big man between the sticks but the lure of country footy and a nice kick in the wallet is too good to refuse, by the way the big fella made 4 runs today in a total of 63 in the West coburg Tarz coached cricket side, (looks like woodstock and hardnut1 failed to turn up) the St Mary's bowling attack led by Hayes'y and Boofa took full toll, and the Mary's batsmen led by roxy girl sealed the victory

You are correct. The Big Fella has gone to Boort to join Lance Picione, his brother and the Rutley's.

Decent money. I think the Boort youngster's will love the T-Train. A change in environment, big ground and better on-ballers might suit him.
He gets a lot of flack, but kicked 51 in 15 games in a team that finished 10th. Always going to take a tall backman.

Apparently you don't have all the facts together..
1. 3 out of these 4 players are local boys
2. The incident that occured during the 1998 grand final and if you speak to anyone who was there, was not his fault and his behaviour during this incident was commendable
3. The club seperated due to different opinions like it happens in business, footy clubs, etc all over the world.
4. The problem the footy club is in, is no one persons fault and blaming it on one person is just not fair

Jacana has alot of good young players and in 4 - 5 years will be a force, however keeping these young players will be difficult has there is alot of money out there, and well if you can get extra money playing something that you like....

B Grade - J.Murphy (have to), R. Powell, M.Deghan, M.De Sousa, Ty Zantuck.

Very good effort though. Have a crack at a team.
One of the other guys has a good point about not seeing some players, play. That's all good. Go by what you have heard, go by if all were are going there best and also have a bench of say 6 or 7.

Well things are starting to look good. Sponsors are getting on board... latest one is with McDonalds in Tullamarine looking for some signage around the ground etc.

Very young team though so will find it tough for one or two years but there are some boys down there who are very quick and some with very good endurance.

from a very reliable source in the west He signed on at the mores for $ 2000 and top of that will get another $ 1100 - 1200 per game, plus a reported transfer fee Claremont are after, supposedly close to $ 10,000.

Claremont cannot ask for a transfer fee. There is a standard $10000 transfer to be paid for players transferring from one state league to another. Does not apply to players returning to their state of origin, or players moving to local leagues. The $10k put Coburg out of the running.

They have had a few leave, don't think it is 16 though. Some of the departures are, Flavell, Bonnicci, Caruso, Wittmar, Philpott, by name with a few others reportedly gone. Have recruited a reasonable number, no big names apart from Shaun Smith, who will be 37 this year.
