It’s not a points thing it’s an injury thing, like I said we had 17 on the field last game.

Injuries always happen unfortunately that’s the nature of our sport.

You sound more ridiculous the more you defend this. As an outsider looking in I was initially supportive of EK in the Premier division but reading your posts with their constant thread of egotism and self-importance I think perhaps not.

The WRFL have crucified Deer Park after they found nothing after the investigation into DP regarding payments. So they WRFL stripped points off them for 12 months for doing nothing wrong and to even up the comp because they can't have all the success, but because they didnt struggle in the games that were played in 2021 even playing with 8 points less the WRFL stripped the points again in 2022. If I was DP I'd be getting out of that league too. The WRFL wouldn't want to lose them as the Division 1 comp is a 4 side battle and if the left it would destroy the comp.
Deer Park couldn't expect to walk into Premire division the would have to start in D1. Thoughts if they were to come in?

That’s not factual at all.

The WRFL points system is a strange one though, everyone has 46 points except DP 43 & Altona 45.

Last round only DP amd St Albans used their points , everyone else were nowhere near it.
That tells me that it should be lowered

You have no idea. They did not play with 8 less points at all. Maybe you should get your info prior to posting. The points system was introduced because Deer Park were buying flags because they had an unlimited amount of cash. The salary cap was then introduced, to which Deer Park flaunted the rules (havent been caught) and are still flaunting them. When the points system was introduced there is a section in it that relates to sustained success. This means the WRFL could reduce their points because they won 7 consecutive flags. They have NOT been crucified at all. This is not an WRFL decision, its the rule in Victoria. Numerous comps have penalised clubs because of sustained success.

All good and well to say they cant walk into premier but we simply cannot have lower divisions ruined for 12 months and sides just playing for second just to get teams into our league. Deer Park are not quite the powerhouse side now that they have been but are still strong enough and you would think would win div 1 very comfortably. Thats not fair on the rest of the div 1 teams to allow a side into the division for a year to go through undefeated and win the premiership. Teams start training in November, right through to Aug/Sep, it’s a big commitment you cant be jeopardising the competition by knowing it’s going to be a one horse race. I think the league made a mistake not putting Sunbury into div 1 a few years back, the rest of div 2 were playing for second all season. Deer Park would still be a Premier div quality side in the EDFL. It’s tricky, because you would also need to relegate 2 teams so would need that to be agreed on.

Could just run an 11 team comp with a top 5 finals.

I get one team may benefit for not vsing a strathmore or an Abbers an extra time but at least it won’t ruin Div 1. Then could relegate the bottom 2 in prem the following year to even it out?

lol mate can tell how salty you are from your comment. what don’t you understand about 6 out, 18 players for 3/4 and 17 on field for 50 mins. PV would of got done by 80+ in those circumstances.

Obviously pacco beat EK we had 6 out with injury and a further 3 with covid mate,that’s half a side and no coach. But the end of the day all that matters is the 4 points and EK and PV are 1-1.

This conversation of who is better is pointless because like I said they are 1-1 and won’t play each other again this season, but was great seeing how well your comment aged.

If you’re ruling out EK from finals already when they could possibly go 4th next week Then your delusional. Will be nice to see how this comment ages, will be interesting to see what you say then.

Yeah huge loss in the scheme of things unfortunately. Weather made the game extremely scrappy was hard fought all around the ground. Very competitive game

Will need to win the next 4 if they have any chance of making it and hope acouple others loose some games

EK 2s got beat so don’t understand? They didn’t appear to have any senior players in the 2s and were close to full strength I would say!

Didn’t watch the twos game although I heard EK’s first 11 scoring shots were all points. Kick like that and you make winning very difficult.

I think you will find that Ryan Hargreave played for the bulldogs and would be 40 odd years old now, the player you mention is named Ryan Hargreaves, who I think is a young kid who is at the western jets.
