Hey mate, Strathmore to much leg speed. Ultimately come September you need speed. Bigger bodies great during the season in the cold and wet grounds but come September the run & carry destroyed Pacco. They are bringing through some youth which is great. Strathmore destroyed East Keilor with the same thing. If EK don’t recruit younger players or develop their own from beneath they won’t progress far either especially with Deer Park now in premier.

They love him and hope he is there for a long time. Best thing to walk through the doors in a long time! He has brought across a footy ops manager from the AFL system in recent weeks and they are trying to bolster the list with more talent and youth, not sure how it’s going but hear there is couple more school kids joining Barry from Assumption College. Premier is always tough and they have been perennial bottom dwellers for a while. They will be optimistic they won’t be in that zone, but certain Avondale Heights & Airport West won’t be thinking that either.
Future is looking great for them if they can keep him long term. Has plenty of contacts in the AFL system. They need the $$$ to get the best players possible. Massive respect to the young fellas on the committee, quality people and they work hard to improve and make the place better as a whole.

I can’t remember the name but was relieved to hear they had someone with credentials to hopefully recruit strongly, been a huge challenge for them. Money won’t be an issue, never is, it just seems you have to pay overs for probably less talented players when you aren’t perceived as a finals contender.
