But a card was handed out so I assume will take a set penalty? Are tribunal results still being withheld?
Yellow card only so no automatic suspension.
Aggressive tackle yes but not 1 player from DS remonstrated with the action. The central umpire also seemed somewhat bemused at the send off by the closer officiating umpire imo.

I have zero idea. Yes a card was issued but about 4 minutes after the tackle and not one player remonstrated from Doutta. To me this confirms there was no malice in it whatsoever and it was a case of the player falling awkardley. Pretty obvious the umpire panicked when it became clear the player tackled was injured. Umpires have become spineless because of AFL influence.

Was so good to see the Keilor product Campbell Gray selected in the mid season draft. Further proof that Keilor has an oustanding junior program leading into senior football and in this case AFL. ( Hope he is a better player than his tattooist is Tattoo artist )

In 2024, that's textbook tackle. Unfortunately, the young bloke whacked his head. No one wants to see a player hurt, but as footy fans, if he didn't lay the tackle, he would've been abused for not laying it.

SWOOPINGTIME

In 2024 there's multiple camera angles to analyse it too. There's also no replays for players to decide if they should get around their team mate. For mine the umpire had the best view and took the appropriate action.

Without dumping a players head into the turf, obviously. Sounds like you might be a bit close to this one LongBlow
His head hit the turf because his arm was held as part of the tackle and the momentum has heading in that direction. If this warrants a suspension then they should ban tackling. What about the lack of awareness of the player being tackled?

Times have changed. Onus of duty of care is on the tackler.

Just watched it and it’s definitely a suspension as he props and drives him head first into the ground. That’s what they don’t want in this game these days. Probably 1 or 2 weeks I would think. Im actually stunned no one from Douttas remonstrated as the player is obviously hurt.
