Jarad has been very good but also plays in a very good team, would be nowhere near as effective if playing in a lower team

From what I saw last year he’s slowed down quite abit from his form of previous seasons
Jarrad also played over 200 games and won 2 flags in the SANFL before landing at Strathmore, bit of a stretch to compare them.

How does this rumour surface of a premier not wanting to come up or a struggler wanting to come down each post season or pre season?

I haven’t seen or heard a rumour like this for years so not sure where you’re going with it. That said, EK should absolutely play in Premier, but judging by the reports on here there might be a few reserves forfeits. I for one hope they surprise us all and grow from the mess the incoming committee have been left with. Good luck EK in 2025

So you obviously don’t follow this comp to closely. Div 1 premiers not wanting to come up clubs wanting to drop down but your right none of them have substance and I’m tipping 2027 will be the year for EK in Div 3

i still find the whole situation so sad. still beggers beleif how one personality can come in and do as they please and then leave with the club in worse place without anyone truly stepping in well before the a$$ fell out of the place.
how many local or long term EK players remain on top of the mercenary types that cam and went with the previous prez and coach.

Yes agree and they allowed it and supported it so why are they complaining. One person can’t just walk into a club and take over ( if that’s what occurred) without club committee people supporting it. They made the appointment so take accountability. They knew the personality of the person they appointed as you get the resume and do your due diligence. Each coach applying for positions has pros and cons, but ultimately the CLUB decides who they appoint.
Well said Turbo , that's exactly what happened. The good people at EK gave him the keys, sat back and let him do whatever he wanted. There can be no sympathy, they wanted a quick, easy fix - they can cop their right whack now. Long way back as apart from copping a thumping on the field this year, they have zero respect that needs to be earnt again.
As stuffed as they are it’s a hard lesson learnt and their own fault no doubt about that but now EK have the right people back in charge and juniors coming back with a great group of junior coaches, the road may be rough but they will be fine.
Problem was he got in and made his own committee and in the end he was virtually untouchable. Luckily for the club he jumped ship before he had killed the club stone dead because if they had of been winning he would still be there.
They need to focus more on their juniors and trying to get back lots of good players that left and making sure they fill all age groups.
Still lots of really great people down at EK and I always enjoy it when my boys play against them and I will enjoy coaching against them this year for Hillside in the under 12s.

And when he left he also paid the players who left for other clubs good money while also telling key people from those clubs that they're welcome to speak to those players.
Clearly doesn't want the people who have stepped up to replace him to do a better job than he did, but thats just completley ruining a club

Yeah heard that also. However was he the one paying them at EK? If so well once again I say the CLUB allowed and accepted it so what did they expect would occurred if/when he left. The offers I heard to players at EK were way overs, just saying..
