I think Keilor's midfield is definitely one of the strongest in the competition. You don't sit a game clear in one of Victoria's best competitions by chance.

Keen to see them this week vs Marby. Marby definitely now outsiders to make the 4 but a win this week and their game vs Abers next week is an elimination final for both sides as Marby could jump back ahead of Abers with a match vs Glenroy to come whilst Abers play Strathmore in the final week. Obviously a lot to happen between now and then with a huge game vs Keilor at their home this week but I'm just trying to think the last time Keilor beat Marby? I know Marby gave them a touch up earlier this year and I'm almost certain they beat them both times last year too. I still think Keilor will be too strong and win by 4-5 goals but maybe a bit of a bogey side for Mighty Mick and his boys? I remember a heat exchange a couple of years ago at half time where Keilor went in 5 goals up and a few words were exchanged between players and supporters and it almost erupted. Marby came out of nowhere to win by 2-3 goals after that.

Had Marby kicked a touch straighter last week we'd be talking about 1 vs 2. Should be a ripper this week.

I think AH vs Strathmore is a danger game for the Mores. Surely there is one more surprise left in this season.

Yes I agree. Avondale a slight chance for an upset on there home deck. Avondale players on good coin so they surely will preform and did ok against Pacco. Couple more back this week I’m hearing so don’t discount them. They don’t overly like Strathmore so I’m sure they will lift. Interesting game.

Marby do dislike Keilor with a passion but can’t see them beating Keilor.

How about EDS to knock off Greenvale rnd 18 to ensure they stay up and knock Greenvale out of the finals.

Big news in Strathmore losing a good player to a VFL team this late in the season. Strathmore not happy either I hear which is totally understandable.
Stax you should have told us this news..

No name Turbo so shit stirring again I’m guessing. If anyone was getting a first time VFL call up from any club this time of year it might be for a week at the most. Couldn’t a club say no?
I’d imagine Marby have made it clear Kempster is playing finals at Marby should they make it. Tyson Young at APW same boat. Without him they probably don’t win it.
If it’s a kid possibly being looked at in terms of being drafted local club needs to let them go you’d think.
You need to back that up with a name surely.

You can’t say no, if you’re on their list then you’re on their list, this is your primary club, you are released to the local club if not required

That's 100% right. They are on a VFL list, the VFL is the highest competition in Victoria(AFL is national), does anyone in their right mind think the VFL Clubs would care or give a 2nd thought to what some p*ss ant local club playing in some crap local competition want?

You really don’t like me breaking any news do you. Ask Strathmore if Bese is playing for them.. Been asked to go back to the VFL for remainder of the season (and finals) and accepted the invite. Big loss 3 weeks out from finals. Not sure I like this type of thing but it’s in the rules.

Not sure you understand much about the process Route. Kempster is contracted to Willy and that’s his first preference so he only plays for Marby when he doesn’t get selected for Willy. He trains at Willy

T Young got invited for a game at VFL level. Pretty sure his back training at APW.

To be fair, Keilor were on top of Marby earlier this year but had no bench for the final qtr and were overrun.

Keilor should win, but they are due for a loss you’d think.

That was the abers game you’re thinking of. Keilor didn’t win a single quarter against Marby at home got absolutely dominated from the first bounce

EDS v PV teams on the website shows a big out for both sides although PV impacted more. Laguada picked for Essendon VFL and Watson listed as Emg. Listed as Emg doesn't always guarantee the player won't play but not sure why PV would bother listing him there.

If both don't play probably bridges the gap from 10gls to 5gls in PV favour. Weather could also play a part as looks to be wet and windy tomorrow and might bring about some upsets.

You’re absolutely right on all accounts

You’re right, but a little harsh on the definition, actually they also don’t care about grabbing blokes that are critical to the local team eg Bese, but the kids have to chase the dream
