Could some body supply the link for PREM DIV season 2013 fixture (Like Div-1)
Thanks go 2013 Local Footy

It looks like the EDFL haven't done Premier Div 2013 fixture yet mate, should be soon :thumbsu:

Thanks for the info SNAX.
Begs the question the fixtures are usually out by EDFL AGM (Early Dec) why the hold up as the 10 teams were set after GF week and they play each other twice so why the delay?. How do clubs supposed to plan & book their functions, advertise, canteen & bar rosters if they are kept in the dark.
Surley the EDFL has enough staff to have this done well before Xmas.
(Perhaps the clubs could fine the EDFL for being late?)

hahaha, some fair points retired57, i thought Div1+2 fixtures would have been delayed due to the number of teams also......

The only reason i guess is that maybe Windy Hill might be a venue for some home & away games in Prem Div this year?

Could also be the delay is caused by a possible final five this season.
Decision any day now

Not a bad summary one for div 1 would be great.
couple of corrections????
My mail
Zantuck staying at the Mores
Soncin staying at Haddy
Ohlsen wm to Oak park
Ray Jensen wont get a game at Abers
Oak Park might lose a couple more
and a question surely Aw have recruited more than 2 players if they want to stay in A grade??
Waste of time buying last years flag if then u dont go on with it. They have lost Wiggins, Carouzou and a couple of other fringes, i hope they have picked up more than 2.
Clearances open in a week let the silly season really begin

Apw may just be keeping their cards close to their chest as well.

Word has is Casey scorpions are interested in J Anthony cause he hasn't committed to Marby. I also heard that iaccaboucci may not be playing for the mores this year. Concentrating on work

Sam Power involved in coaching at Willi , is he still at apw

Looks like no Robbo for Marby. Just posted on D2 VAFA site (source twitter) that he is playing for the Monash Gryphons

What happened with Steve baker at Marby ? signed at sorrento during the week.

Marby have no Money, big loss $$ last year, comittee jumped off at the end of the year, new committee come on and now realise how bad it actually is. To the new committee credit have been up front and told Holland they don't have the $$$'s to pay the offers to Baker & Robertson, Holland upfront with both and they said thanks but if you ain't gunna pay me to play with Marby what you offered I ain't gunna play because the $$$ was the only reason they signed on.
Unfortunatley to be any chance of success you need to pay massive $$$'s , Marby did it for a couple of years and got a couple of flags, personally I say Well Done. But the fact is it is not sustainable unless you are Greenvale or Smore with huge backers(until they leave).

If all that is true how are all the marby bandwagoners going to explain it? For years they kept denying this was going to happen to them they had sustainable plans in place for success but low and behold they'll be in div 1 in 2014 if all their money problems are really severe perhaps div 2 2015

They nearly went under in the 90's or early 2000's from over paying players

Are they repeating history?

Robbo is playing his agreed upon 10 games with Marby due to being best mates with Holland, Baker is playing elsewhere. The previous board ran up a 30k debt & the current board is working on eliminating this.
On a more positive note for Marby they've managed to sign a formerly vfl listed midfielder, unsure of his name atm but will post when I hear more.

Pretty sure Iaccaboucci will be at Strathmore this year. Bernard's had a crack at getting him for 2012 with his obvious ties to the college. Reigning B&F winner at Strathmore and one of the best players in the comp.

I was told that he'd knocked back St Bernards but would probably be there the following season.

So what implications for the relegation zone with the pit drying out at Marby? If rumours are true would they be a short price favourite to go down?

Why would such a good footballer , give up what I presume would be some nice $$$ , to go & play for nothing in the VAFA. Surely while you have an opportunity to make good $$ you would take it. Imagine most clubs from all sorts of comps would play great $$ for his services , so what is the incentive to even consider playing for nothing ??? Just wondering.

It is fallacy to think VAFA clubs do not offer money/incentives/free education/employment to attract players, you just have to look at some of the quality i.e Daniel Jones - Marcellin, Trent Croad - De La Salle, Simon Clarke - St Bernards just to name a few. They are not there simply because they may have previously attended the school!

This. The VAFA clubs especially in the higher grades have extremely strong communities and can aid in the establishment or improved performance of ones business - particularly of a professional nature.
