I dont think there was 10 goals kicked between the two sides the last time they played up at greenvale. wishful thinking but hopefully the wind stays away

Went and watched Paco Vs Northern today,

.. let me just say that Paco were very, very lucky to pinch that one from Northern in the last quarter..

Much harder at it than Paco all day in the contested footy, maybe learnt a few tricks from today also :thumbsu:

Paco on the rebound with their spread really made the difference in the end

Either way this is a very promising sign for Northern Saints and with a few more inclusions in the coming weeks will really suprise many for the rest of the year..

Unveiling of the Div 1 Premiers flag at Mutton next week Vs Keilor should be interesting, and I will tip Northern on this one just on what I have witnessed today :thumbsu:

Glad Northern put in a good effort. Hopefully they gain a bit of confidence from it.
With my season starting next week I got down to Section rd to see Abers get up comfortably (8-9 goals iirc) against Greenvale.
Darcy Daniher was huge for Aberfeldie kicking 5 or so goals and marking most things that came his way and Patak/Cubillo were great in close and then feeding it out to their runners.

I was at the Keilor /Airport West match today and saw an underated Keilor comfortable account for Airport West. Maybe the top four isn't as settled as a lot of people have thought.......

Went and watched Paco Vs Northern today,

I touched on this is the Div 1 thread and again I make a plea to all the clubs in the Prem div.

Firstly, congrats to the Northern Saints U18 side for turning up today, unfortunately it looked like they only had 13 players on the paddock. Now it's not going to take long before these guys get sick of being belted by 200 points every week and the side folds. Can the league and the clubs get together and help these poor blokes out before they're lost to the game altogether.

Northern had 14 players and Pacco lent them 2 players. Pacco played with 19 and 1 was injured in the first quarter. In the last it was 16 on 16. Pacco also lent Jacana players today in the div 3 comp. Northern are fairly confident they will have more players in the next few weeks so hopefully they will be more competitive.

See a guy named Rob Douglas named best for Strathmore today, can anyone at the game let us know where about's positionally he played?

Love seeing the Club referred too as Northern.

Cheap shot! Marcus is well respected by both Committee and players - admit bad way to start the season, however it is only 1 game

Well said - Billy is a great fella and Douttas better placed with him!

Great win by all three Rillaz on the weekend.

Any truth that Eric Kuret has a broken scapula and is likely to miss the rest of the season?

Kuret gone for the season

Massive problems at section Road, no depth, not a single player in the earlier game for Greenvale would make the grade at senior football.

Agree Marcus has been great for Douttas - its round 1 judge him mid way!! At least he didn't lock his players away for a couple of hours!!!

Greenvale gone 2014

Relax Blue & Yellow, one game doesn't make a season. you need to give Greenvale a bit more respect.
well done to abers clearly best all day.
Kuret not out for season but will miss a few. below are a couple of not bad in's to come back into the Greenvale line up that didn't play on the weekend
-Jorgenson
-Gazzo
-D Smith
-Clifton

add campazzano to that list and you've got yourself a strong greenvale outfit. It seems the more you ride greenvale off, the more determined they are to doubt their critics
