Massive problems at section Road, no depth, not a single player in the earlier game for Greenvale would make the grade at senior football.

Yup, the sky is falling.
Abers people have every right to be happy given they got 3 wins and looked really good in doing so but 1 game generally means sfa come the end of the season.

In all fairness he's been playing the kids for years and spending a hell of a lot less than many other clubs in the comp.
They've brought in a few highly regarded players for this season so it may take some time for them to gel, people on here are getting a bit excited after one round of footy.

Absolutely spot on and totally agree that some on here need to give Greenvale more respect than what's been handed out since the weekend.

Abers people on here again declaring teams are gone after a round 1 win?? Cut you some slack as you're probably one of the new guys there that doesn't know the history. On pure names alone everyone knows that they are the raging favourite. You should be when you spend the most by a long way of any club in the league and import an entire team. Pity they don't hand out the cup in April. Went down for a look and Abers looked deadly in the midfield. Oswald was outrageous, Lynch, Cubillo and Patak were great and it's pretty clear Daniher and Davis are miles better in key posts than what Abers had last year. Riemers on the other hand should donate the 1600 he got for that game to this yrs grand final fireworks fund. 800 per kick. Very quick to get off when the scuffles broke out. Greenvale looked a mile off in comparison, under done and young and while everyone says they haven't lost too many they would want to be available pretty soon as there will be no easy games this yr.

If you were being totally honest what would you say is a good percentage of home grown players Vs. non home grown players across your entire senior squad?

Exactly for 2 of those seasons EDS were favourites to be relegated and he playing the kids managed some very respectable performances and most would agree over achieved. This year with some big recruits you would hope that they are pushing the top sides and challenging for finals.

I didn't witness the match but have a mate who plays for Greenvale and I was told then had 4 18yr old debutants with 6-7 premiership players to return.

It may be a slow start to the season for Greenvale but right them off at your own peril.

Last yr Abers thought they had it won after the first final organising fireworks and marquees, they have written the. Off before doubt they will be doing it again

Didn't do well with my tips in rd 1 so hopefully I can improve this week.
Heights to just get the choccies against an undermanned Jets outfit (it scares me to write such a good team off)
NS will be very competitive at home but Keilor to have too much Premier experience and win by about 6 goals.
Abers to beat EDS easily 10 goals
APw v Marby looks like it might be a bit closer after rd 1 results. APW to win by about 4 goals
Strathmore to be way to good for Pacco about 9 goals.
