Turbo responded to PM. He's fine. Just pretty busy with other matters at the moment. Taking a break from BF and gone fishing. But he'll be back.

Thought the season opener between Keilor and Strathmore was a very good game and considering it was the first game of the season the standard was terrific. Bumper crowd made for a finals like atmosphere. Haven't seen a great deal EDFL but would think both sides will figure as finals contenders. Browne was my pick as best for Keilor with McGuane good also, number 7 won plenty of the contested ball, number 24 looks very young but can play and runs hard and number 20 also played a great game for Keilor. Macintosh in the ruck had a good duel with Browne and number 7 for strathy was terrific, doesn't look much but can sure find the footy. Other good players IMO were 31, 2 and 8. sorry cant put names to numbers but the programs had run out. Keilor copped some bad injuries and though were down on the bench did appear to run out the game the stronger of the 2 sides. Perhaps a bigger pre season and more practice matches under their belts? Would think Mick McGuane would have been pleased with the way Keilor won the game.

Watched the first half of Avondale V west Preston.
Avondale kicked 8 unanswered second quarter goals. Led by 30 odd at half time.
Odwyer was alright, clouston was good

Grabage, done pre season just soft tissue injury like a few others early in the season at the blues, extra week off helps the recovery, mabe this week or the next, will strenghten the big man/foward line, haven't heard about Sylvia

Im back by request for 1 post only.

I'm bemused with all the tipsters that no one has picked Pacco. Let me give you some insight into the season.

Avondale to surprise Keilor. Clouston to kick 8 and get Avondale home in a close one.

Abers to beat Marby by 65 points. Just to classy all over the ground.

Airport West to beat West Coburg. I'm going against the general view and believe AW will win by 3 points.

Strathmore to beat Douttas in another close game. I was disappointed in Strathmore against Keilor as I expected them to win that one, so I think they will get over Douttas. If Strathmore lose there will be plenty of pressure on the club to give the coach his marching orders. Big expectations down at Strathmore. Tighe a huge loss early..

Pascoe Vale to beat Greenvale by 35 points. I think Pacco will come out hard and be to strong for Greenvale. It's the match of the round, but Pacco hoping to cause some damage this season.
