Hey pal.
Was there. From where I was it looked as the EDS player was running away and rose made connection to the face looked like a fist. He has been offered 2 weeks I've been told Avondale are fighting it.

It's not like Patty to get reported. He usually plays the footy, but does cop a bit of niggle being a gun forward. This will be telling on Avondales next 2 rounds v West Coburg & Pacco. It probably makes West Coburg favorites and Pacco could give them a decent touch up without Patty..

Not sure what his points are either, but this is his 4th season ( in 2 stints ) at Strathmore.

Points are only reduced per consecutive years of senior footy not if they play then leave and come back. If his not a Strathmore junior who has played more than 40 junior games his a 3-4 pointer. I haven't really looked into this closely but think his a 3-4 pointer guys. Has the league made an error??

Gap between Pascoe Vale and Doutta's ? Kidding yourself!
Pacco had a big win but Marby not a finals contender by any stretch. Their win against Abers a great one off achievement but a close look at their list shows they have little depth.
Pacco did what they had too, and did it well, but they got belted by Greenvale and beaten comfortably by Keilor.
I would wait until Pascoe Vale play EDS, Mores and Heights before declaring they are a 'gap' ahead of the rest. Keilor in my opinion are not that far ahead either, but have themselves in a strong position early.
Greenvale by far playing the best football and Abers still have the best list in the comp. They be top 2. 3rd/4th still well and truly up for grabs

Douttas are doing well but I think the gap between 4th & 5th will be a few games mate. Greenvale were at full strength round 1 (and so were Pacco) hence the points difference in the games they played between Pacco & Douttas. Plus Pacco should have converted early and it might have been a bit closer. But that's no excuse.
Interesting game this week Pacco v Abers. Pacco really need to win this one to show they have improved.

Time will tell!

Could be. Shouldn't be too much of an issue given they sit on 42 points.

The boys well and truly back in town Turbo? Pacco 11 goal winners over Marby.

Thought this would be a close one seeing Marby had started off season in fine style. However Pacco just too polished. Writing was on the wall early when Pacco kicked 5 goals to 4 in first quarter kicking into strong wind.
After that Marby were pushing up hill all day. Pacco finished off well with a 9 goal to 1 last quarter.

Thought B Ross, Harris, Urquart and Foster were best for Pacco, Trent Lee, Ball, Breust, Steven White played well for Marby.

Stax - Ball out injured so not too sure which player you thought played well?

My mistake. It was number 3, dark haired, bearded chap. EDFL website says John Mckenzie is no 3. I went off my ( round 1 ) Footy Record which lists no 3 as Robert Ball. I should have invested in an up to date record.

Cmon Stax, it's 2016 mate. Your iPhone will have SportingPulse teams and team app have the record. Lol
But it's great you provided a game report mate..

Couple of big outs then if Ball was injured and Wyhatt playing for Footscray VFL I think..

Sorry Turbo, I'm a bit of a dinosaur when it comes to technology. I've still got a passbook bank account, and what are these iPhones you keep referring to?

Turbo, I'm pretty sure that is incorrect. To my knowledge it's a point reduction for each year played at the club regardless of whether they've played somewhere else in the between.

The points system needs some ironing out. From what i've been told a few clubs have been getting away with the additional point for individual players in regards to number of clubs in the last 3 years and BnF/Goalkicking. Could make a huge difference to some clubs that are playing right on the points limit

Is the Top 4 basically set this early into the season? Greenvale, Keilor and Abers look locks for finals and Paco the best of the chasing pack at this stage

Douttas only real chance to perhaps get in. They got the job done against Avondale, went and watched the second half and it was a solid performance.

Marby have fallen away big time the last couple of weeks and besides a few seconds in the round 2 clash could be 1-3 after smashing Abers round 1. How they beat Abers is beyond me but it does seem from previous posts that they may be missing a few players from that clash.

Strathmore will not be writing themselves off but a long way back for them and they need to start winning games - starting this week.

West Coburg, whilst certainly competitive look a little off the finals contenders

I'm sure it's consecutive years (other than if you are a returning junior "homegrown") otherwise it's against the reason for the points system. It's supposed to minimise players moving clubs.. But I'm not 100% as need to read it again.

Big round coming up next week:

Greenvale and Keilor should be a beauty. Keilor have recruited extremely well and it wouldn't surprise me if they knock off the Jets, even up at Section Road.

Pacco and Abers another crunch game. Not sure if accurate, or how serious, but 98.9 reported on Saturday that Abers copped a few injuries ( McLean, Cubillo and Johns ). If true it would certainly improve Pacco's chances, as Abers to this stage are certainly not as dominant as last year.

West Coburg/Avondale Heights another 50/50 game

Strathmore/Marby a must win for both teams. Not sure Strathmores 1-3 record as bad as it appears. Never easy to win at Keilor and Greenvale, and they weren't disgraced in either match. The flogging they got from Douttas was certainly a real lowlight though.

Douttas/APW will unfortunately be a blowout.

Not too sure Avondale should be fighting it as I thought 2 umpires may have reported him. It was pretty obvious and looked out of frustration. The EDS player went down and although didn't require medical or trainer attention was a little groggy when he took his kick.

Scores don't show how close the games was, eds broke it open in the last 10-15 mins after Avondale got 10 points in front. Having not seen Airport West as yet, results suggest that Avondale should account for them when they play each other.

I'm completely confused by this points system, Soncin won Nothern Blues B & F in the 2nds last year. Surely he is worth more than 3 points.
