Good to see you know nothing of what's going on in EDFL footy at the moment mate like some other posters. No it's not Keilor I'm referring to.
Just goes to show a lot of people on here really have no inside knowledge or contacts in our league.
Mark my words players talk to get a better deal, so will an edfl club be the first to cop the brunt of this salary cap induction. I'm saying yes the EDFL will be monitored closely. Don't worry about the Ammos, the EDFL is a big league and need to come back in line with other leagues.

With AFL Vic dropping points to 45-47, doesnt leave much for the other 17 players

Would probably only leave about 50k of the salary cap to share among the other 17 including iacobucco, Horne, arrowsmith, Gleeson, little, mangan

How will said players points and salary cap inclussions be affected if any of them are appointed playing coach or assistants?

From what I know, you can have 1 playing coach that a certain amount of his salary is not taken into the teams playing salary. In terms of points, it shouldn't change a thing.

50% of a playing coaches contract counts towards the cap to a maximum of $20,000 reduction so basically anything $40,000 & under is halved and anything over $40,000 gets reduced by $20,000
If the playing coach is a co-coach it is 25% reduction capped at $10,000
Points don't change as far as I'm aware

New on here lads so first up welcome to me. Drive the tram between APW and town (Route 59). Happy to be referred to as Route, Router, 59, fitty9. Please yourselves. Like most on here I can't disclose my allegiance to any club. Unlike most on here I don't actually have an allegiance to any club. I do however know quite a few people throughout the league and hear a fair bit of chit-chat on the tram. First at bat, let's see how I go.
Brock Mclean mentioned going OS, don't believe so. Going again at Abers.
Surprised none of you in the know have mentioned Drew Petrie. Whilst I haven't seen him on the tram he does live along the line somewhere. Obvious link to Strathmore if he doesn't take West Coasts offer but has links at two other clubs also within the EDFL. Big possibility.
On Strathmore hearing one of the Grima/Firrito combo will be non playing coach/assistant. Interestingly heard Firrito non playing assistant, with Grima's injuries you'd think otherway round.
No news from Greenvale, they wouldn't know what a tram is. Dont think I've missed coach appointment. They're starting behind in terms of recruiting.
Cragieburn! Great new train station, again would know nothing about trams.
How does one get up there and be able to have a few cans. League should run a courtesy bus from the station. Was hoping the talk of them wanting to stay Div 1 was true, unfortunately not.
Shift over, back in the depot.

As Grima played for Essendon last season he is now 6 points. Firrito 6 points & Dunn 6 points. That's 18. Then add McIntosh 5pts, Tighe 4pts, Mangan 4pts and that's 31 points for 6 players and "well" over 50% of the salary cap.
Could they be the first club to cop a punishment by AFL vic???

Just a word on Craigieburn President, John (Stretch) Brinkhuis former Craigieburn champ and current VP @ greenvale has been approached as new president of Craigieburn
Committee members now getting approached what's this game coming to ?
I'd would've thought people get on the committee especially Vice President cause they love the club. Surely not ???

Have heard a few things around the rumour mill. Some I'm sure are correct but wouldn't be 100% confident by saying they are "fact".
Strathmore - Cachia and Polkinghorne signed late last week. Grima non playing coach. Firritto playing assistant.
EDS - Tom Wallis to play back at home club, heard Dustin Fletcher and Shaun McKernan (if delisted). Kazuro from St Bernards and Schroder ex Cats.
Pacco - Hardingham to coach. Warren leaving. Ross x2 to Bunyip ?? (Turbo had already denied). Mitch Gleeson (Aber$)
Aber$$ - A lot of noise about match payments. Where there is smoke there is fire ? I'm sure they will dig around their deep pockets and sort it out. Haven't heard much other than a few leaving.
Gun juniors and already low points would suggest they won't be going anywhere in a hurry.
AH - Rose off the Deer Park. Any news on who might coach them ? Heard nothing.
Marby - Avondale Coach to assist Castello and do the bench. Signed majority of the list.
WC - very quiet!
GV - Quiet as usual. I'm sure they have their coach lined up and will recruit for another crack. Former Northcote Park coach ?? Also heard Natale Caruso playing coach as they can put half his salary out of the cap.
CB - Plenty of talk on here regarding them. Good to see Budgen go again and commit for 2 years. They should make a fist as an A grade club.
Keilor - Burke to Bellarine. Putt off somewhere. Not much else coming out. Probably still celebrating a magnificent season.
Like I said all rumours. Not saying anything is 100%
