Another loss at craigieburn. Played senior footy last year

Let's face it that club has fell over the bridge. Will take years to recover if they are lucky. A new team is coming in that area so it's going to be even harder for them. Remember clubs are built from the junior base up.

Im not sure the situation is all that bad. There is no reason why the club cant learn from this years mistakes by recruiting early locking in current required players and be competitive next year whichever division that happens to be.
There financial position from all reports is strong and have plenty of juniors. Not sure a club that is yet to exist is a real concern.

If CB can win a few games and stay in premier they could restart during the off season and with younger players gaining exposure could be like Essendon of this year. But if they go back down all the hard work from 2015-2016 will be for nothing. If they go down they will lose some good players who will want to stay playing premier and it will be similar to last time they went up. They should be a strong club out there and be in premier division. Yes they might be financially sound (and that's great) but they need to play in the top division and raise the bar out there and take on the challenges. Only my opinion!!

Remember a new club will have good junior numbers and some from CB will move across. Juniors bring in heaps of revenue and sponsors will be shared amongst the 2 clubs. It's only going to be a junior club to start with but it's happening behind the scenes.

Bit like Burnside coming in and have good junior numbers.

Huge game today for Avondale word is a portable grandstand looking for a large crowd. Every chance today especially with a few out from Douttas

Went and watched marby and west coburg today. Marby were a class or probably two above. But after watching footy for my whole life, I saw something I'd never considered. The umpires calling both sides off the ground in the 3rd quarter 15 mins in. Granted there was lightning around, but seriously? After 40 mins they re start the game, only to walk off for good 10 mins into the last qtr. times have changed.

Gee, that was a real shellacking Abers gave Keilor today. Match report anyone?
Abers outplayed keilor everywhere on the ground, midfield put on a clinic, reimers and madden dominated up forward and Allen destroyed galea all day! For as good as abers were, I don't think keilor will be able to dish up a more pathetic performance again if they tried they wouldn't have beat anyone in premier division with the crap they dished up today, take out the 10 minute period in the 3rd which they kicked 5 goals they kicked 1 more all day, missed easy targets, dropped uncontested marks, gave away stupid free kicks all day

Abers just harder at the contest from the outset. Took a 2 goal lead into the breeze from the first quarter.

They took full advantage of the breeze during the second and went in 10 goals up. Keilor players turned on each other during this quarter and were more focused on the man.

The third quarter Keilor rallied slightly to score 5 goals to 3.

Last quarter Abers went berserk and kicked 7-8 in the wet.

Just harder and cleaner on the day and deserved the big win.
