Just reading the tribunal findings from last week. Some disappointing incidents by officials and 3 automatic suspensions out of 1 senior game. Some interesting names......

From what I know his straight back in...... His had a very very good per season ever an very fit can anyone confirm
Didn't seem to fit when he was training at Avondale Heights in the pre-season from what I have heard. Short memories down at abers welcoming him straight back when a player trains with one of there rivals.

Half of the players in any league won't be fit that time if the year....
Anyway mate he'll be up an going next week.... You'll be watching him playing finals coz Avondale Heights WONT BE PLAYING so enjoy

Why dominate in the two's when I can put on a show in the ones?.
I could have a year off eating non pork products and still come back and own this comp.
I am this comp.
Mr EDFL.
100%

You continue to confirm all our thoughts, WXXKER!! you are good entertainment that's for sure

Turbos tips round 4:

AVONDALE to beat Keilor by 22pts.
"I think AH have to much scoring power for Keilor"

AIRPORT WEST to beat Northern Saints by 3pts
"Could go either way but picking Airport West due to home ground advantage"

GREENVALE to beat Marby by 15pts
"Should be a tight contest"

PASCOE VALE to beat Strathmore by 20pts
"Another close one, but at home Pacco should be to strong. Warren to kick 8 & Polizzi 5.

ABERS to beat West Coburg by 100pts.
"Abers way to strong"

Sound a bit jealous SOTC because of my greatness.
I encourage you to come Coburg on Sunday and watch me put on a 'master class'.
No doubts AFL scouts will be there too after hearing about my impending return.

Soon I will be Mr AFL not Mr EDFL.

Pleased to see a reply, that shows you have a sense of humour, I'll be there.
I notice Cubby (club Captain) resuming in the 2's you must indeed be valued by Pots.

Tribunal count to date in the EDFL juniors with clubs in Premier Division; Pascoe Vale lead with suspensions totalling 8 weeks including a team official abusing and approaching an umpire in an abusive way. They also have had a junior player found guilty but given a reprimand. Strathmore 3. Other clubs 0

Attended the Pascoe Vale vs Strathmore game today and Pacco are the real deal. Playing a great brand of footy which is sure to attract footy followers. They are taking the game on through run & carry and most importantly playing for each other. Some very unselfish footy and protecting one another.
Strathmore no26 whacked a young player from Pacco and Pacco didn't put up with this.

I believe Strathmore at close to full strength and Pacco have about 6 players out..

At this early point of the season it looks like Abers, Greenvale & Pacco will make up the top 3.

Was listening to the radio and hear that Nth Saints had 4 send offs in the 3rd quarter for abusing umpires.. Hard to be competitive with 14 players on the ground..
What's going on down there boys!!

Went down and had a look at both sides for the first time this year. Standard wasn't great. Both will struggle for the remainder of the year. Airport West looked more experienced. Some very young kids out there for Northern. Did most of the damage in the second and third quarters.

As for the sending offs, the league obviously gave the umpires some kind of word about the Saints. Some of the decisions were mind boggling and just wrong, from a nuteral perspective it ruined the game and caused some players to get very agitated. One player certainly went over the top and got a red card which was fair enough. As for any others, unless the game is netball they were shockers. It was VERY clear that the umpires were lenient one way more than the other, which is disappointing for those just wanting to see a contest.

Haven't been to APW in a while was impressed with the club and the people working for the place. It will be a long year, but I might have a look at a few more games over the course of the year as it was a good atmosphere. Much better than a lot of other clubs around. my mate and I will be back to watch a game soon. The only down fall is the lack of coverage in the event of poor weather.

Cheers mate,
It's good that Nth Saints are playing kids as that's the future for any club and you will reap the rewards later on. However the coach MUST set standards and arguing with umpires is undisciplined and shouldn't be tolerated. Agree umpires are not always right but arguing with them won't do you any good. A one off incident you might understand, but multiple issues is a concern..Has the coach got the players respect??

From my reports Northern have been far better as far as on field discipline this year as opposed to last. But at the end of the day it only takes one or two incidents to start people talking and having bias. Hopefully the umpires pull their heads in, they should be aware of things going on but only act on what happens on the footy field.

Unfortunately I think Northern will go down this year, West Coburg and Airport West are just a bit more experienced, and I think can scrape through, having said that Northern will always surprise you.

I was a bit surprised to see the result of Greenvale over Marby by 20goals at Marby, as usually Marby fire up for these games.

The fixture for next week could see some one sided results in all games based on the first 4 games..

I'm interested to see if the league is reviewing the situation and talking to all clubs to see why there is so much difference between clubs. I know people will say it's money but that's not the problem as its structure and plans for going forward.. Money is a small factor but the league needs to sit with clubs to assist them.
Airport West is a good example to use. Came from div1 with a plan and did well for a few years and did play finals but now have dropped off a fair bit from previous years..

Money is a massive factor turbo. The more you have, the more successful you will be. That is fact. I know clubs have turned it around big time in the last 10 years, (marby for one), but you think they did it without financial help? Cmon mate you're smarter than that.

Though it is obviously beneficial to have that extra coin. It isn't the only factor - otherwise, clubs like craigieburn & eds would be in the premier div ahead of a couple of other sides.

Hey mate your following me yeah!! Kidding. I actually like your replies..

I hear you but your using an example where 1 person jumped on board and changed them in relation to Marby. This is a one off case..

I know money is generated by hard working club people. It's also not the only thing that brings success. It's club management and having a plan. Recruit smartly, not just anyone but people willing to play for your club. Let me give some examples. If a player is paid well get him to attend some junior training nights.. If a player is injured get them to work on the bbq for 30mins to interact with supporters and understand what's involved in running a club.

I watched yesterday's game Pacco vs Strathmore. 2 clubs working to similar budgets and it was a 50point margin. Why is this?? In my opinion it's good recruiting not necessarily money. The difference being Paccos players maybe a bit younger and more desperate to achieve what Strathmore have achieved over past years..
I know people will dispute this, but Strathmore have a lot of good players that are very well paid, and possibly 1 of them is the highest paid player in the comp. is he a gun? the answer is no.. Do they need him? The answer is yes.. This is footy!!

You need to build a good list. Not everyone out there just plays for money.. Some players play with mates and for a "fair" amount as they are decent quality people.. Let me use a statement: Do we work for the highest paid company/boss or do you weigh up what else is important like work conditions etc..

Money is also generated by your membership base which includes juniors. Good clubs get around to everyone and get them involved. The crowd yesterday at Pacco was pretty big for a Saturday game..

I could go on & on but money does not necessarily mean a premiership..it helps but it's not everything..
