Big footy EDFL
What do you think the EDS coach could have or should have done differently today?
They didn't appear to have much structure or a game plan at all today other than to go to Ben or Cam, they played 2 guys on Mo all day which didn't really work either
Are Keilor that good or did EDS Just have a shocker?

There was one player, #29 boy he did an awesome job on mo

Keilor were great today and strong flag favorites now. Great ball use, by hand and foot. Awesome run from half backline that EDS had no answer for.
A very even team effort and would have been difficult to name best as they had so many good ones.
Was surprised to see Caluzzi not named in EDS best however. I thought he tried very hard and just about their best IMO.
Can EDS regroup for another big one V Abers this week? While the Keilor boys can sit back and enjoy every bump and hit. They have earned it,simply too good.

Should be played at Greenvale. Even Jacana is better than Tulla and both have better parking.

They looked slow and very loose defensively. Was surprised. Impressed with the #2 from Keilor.

Anyone heard who has been asked to attend the league B & F?
Cam Raynor and Aaron Vendramini I believe have been nominated. Well done to both

the other game was also a non contest with Abers in control from the outset.

West Coburg big guns didn't have much influence whereas Abers had a number of strong contributors across the board. A better team outcome.

Abers able to kick goals at both ends which was the difference as there was a scoring end (club room end).

Plus the Abers pressure was a game breaker.

They will need to bring this and more for Prelim Sunday.

Eerily like 2013....

Let's hope EDFL put the big game on at Windy Hill rather that at the Craigeburn wind tunnel like back in 2013

And tullamarine it is.
Another s$@t decision by the edfl. Not surprising.

Far be it for me to float an idea for Marc and his band of merry men. What about In future scheduling an U18s game for a Friday night so that the U16 prelim can be slotted before a blockbuster Premier senior ground. That way the future talent can be on display. Sorry, sorry. I know. Too much thought and would be put in the too hard basket. Carry on.

What about being the number 1 and 2 ticket holder, but with different names? Would anyone know an average player like that?
Getinthebowl are you implying that BigfootyEDFL and anaverageplayer are one of the same. Maybe he should be writing about a famous nba basketballer from the cavs with a surname of smith or an actor from the old TV series Dallas with the surname of Ewing.
I need to go back and have a read of all his posts now.

thanks for all the smack guys I have been at EDS all my life played juniors there and now have a kid in u14 playing there, but I just love watching him play great kid from a great family and enjoyable to watch. Will be interesting next couple of weeks

I love your loyalty to eds!! Unlike others who leave clubs who are struggling to go to a side full of good players.

GetInthebowl Your being Cheeky now, I can assure you we are different People!
I have no allegiance to EDS or Cam or Ben, but lets give credit where its due they are both very good players
However I might add that so to are Jack Bytel, Rhylee West, and Tye Browning, all first year boys who will dominate next year.
I asked a Keilor parent yesterday where was Curtis Taylor, apparently he was very close to coming back!
Keilor have big raps on the Kid and think he could be the pick of the 16s boys next yr?
Im not sure EDS will be able to recover from the belting they got yesterday, IMO i think Abers might get the job done next week and this could be a repeat of 2 yrs ago!

cam's a brilliant tough hard player.
I think eds will definately bounce back. Although BigfootyEDFL has blamed the loss on the coach I think he is too good a coach to let that happen 2 weeks in a row.
Keilor coach better watch out. Last week it was the abers coach, this week eds are turning on their own coach. Look out keilor coach you are next.
Good luck to all the boys playing on the weekend. Should be a big crowd to support a great game of footy.

Who'd want to be a bloody coach eh?

Hopefully the games running late so I can get there before kick off. Have only seen Abers v the Eagles and I'm sure they'll be better than that day. Can't see Douttas playing that badly again, although to be fair they were put under a lot of pressure. Looking forward to a great weekend of footy.

Tulla's a great ground
Sherrin4lyf surely there are better grounds for the 16(1) prelim final to be played away. Agree tullamarine is not the worst but far from the best.

I agree sir Auckmel in regards to your comments about coaching. It was terrible to hear one of the eds family attacking their own who IMO is doing a brilliant job. My thoughts for what it's worth.

You can barely get 10 people in the away changing room. Poor choice.

The coach is always the easy target.

With the exception that this is junior football and the coaches are volunteers.

The standard of all teams and the way they go about their football is a credit to all involved
Totally agree Fevolution. The only difference between afl coaches and edfl coaches(junior comp) is on average $800,000. The similarities are when their sides have a bad week then it's because the coach is s&@t, never the players just had a bad week or 2 or the opposition were just too good on the day.
What a brilliant display by all the boys this year.
Eds beat keilor, keilor beat abers, abers beat eds, craigieburn beat abers, westmeadows beat craigieburn.
The amount of talent in the under 16's is something the clubs and individuals should be proud of. Remember the coaches (and some parents)are the ones who have assisted some of these players become the players they are.

Terrific post football1993. Very well said
Terrific competition, with two terrifically high standard games to come over the next two weeks
