1st round then as Shoenberg is looking the goods.I think he is better than Schoenberg, has a few more tools at his disposal. Schoenberg is a little taller and stronger with a better contested game at this stage but everything else Powell has him covered
Has he never previously mentioned a kid you’re keen on/ will be there around your picks? You can almost certainly rule out Finlay Macrae for the Lions, after he was the one player there abouts, that Steph Conole mentioned on Road to the Draft.
Conole would never voluntarily mention a player we might be interested in, in a podcast.
It’s not like he exactly talked him up, he used him as a reference to his brother jack who really came on in his top age year.briztoon would be better placed to comment than me, but I feel like I heard him talking about Robertson before last years draft
Remember this GUMBLETRONThink they run a bit deeper to compensate, the likes of Cleary, Rosman, Heath had the ability to climb up not to mention father-son McKay showed a bit in the practise matches and Lachie Carrigan is a very high upside type that could have climbed up if we got a full season in. Their bottom age talent is stupidly good though and would keep them from slipping too much this year.
And they say there's nothing to be gained from watching practise matchesRemember this GUMBLETRON
Perkins for sure as a mid but Henry I feel is the safer bet as a gun at both ends where I’m not as certain with Perkins who needed more games to see if he could become a quality full time mid. Both are different players maybe similar as forwards but i don’t see a need of comparing them as potential mids.Interested on your views re Oliver Henry vs Archie Perkins?
I'd much prefer Perkins over Henry for Adelaide personally but of the 2 who do you think has the most scope to transition into 1st class midfielder?
It's just that some on our board seem to think Oliver Henry is a midfielder going forward, I'm not seeing it for mine he plays a 3rd tall probably forward or in defense at AFL level with his aerial ability. I have to admit I'm a big Archie Perkins fan so maybe it clouds my judgement.Perkins for sure as a mid but Henry I feel is the safer bet as a gun at both ends where I’m not as certain with Perkins who needed more games to see if he could become a quality full time mid. I don’t recall the podcast.briztoon would be better placed to comment than me, but I feel like I heard him talking about Robertson before last years draft
My experience is Conole does not voluntarily introduce a players name in to any conversation if he’s on our radar. It’s not like he exactly talked him up, he used him as a reference to his brother jack who really came on in his top age year.
I don’t want to see any more of this Snuffaluphagus , I think everyone is getting very tired of it in this threadThe Crows will have pick 2 as well.
This might be of interest.
I did.Anyone know the insights into who asked for the Tarek Newchurch highlights video to be taken down from YouTube?
Who wins the game? With the combine players announced ive done a mock up of the potential Metro vs Country game if things go to plan in late October. Gribble and Hollands obviously missing due to injury.

Tough but I’ll go Metro just.Who wins the game?
And what players will your focus be on this weekend re must watch viewing?
If Powell does play also keep an eye on James Borlase too I'll be interested in your take on him and where he sits in the scheme of this draft.Tough but I’ll go Metro just.
For ADC I’ll be doing a write up on McDoanld vs DGB. I’ll watch the 18s Wa colts as I do every week and I’ll watch Powell’s game in the seniors if he ends up playing.
I’ve already come to conclusions on Borlase, how he plays at league level from now on won’t effect my ratings of him much. A good option late but would be shocked to see him bid in the top 40.If Powell does play also keep an eye on James Borlase too I'll be interested in your take on him and where he sits in the scheme of this draft.
I doubt that, considering the amount of players invited to the combine at the very least. I’d say SA would have been the front runners.WA would of been very hard to beat if the champs were played this year . What are your thoughts on Jack Carroll ?? He must be close to pushing into peoples top 20 seems to be improving every game , very nice size also .
