hahaha I love trade talk, first the dees are giving us weids and now they're offloading there key post young backman that they want to build their backline around for a 26 year old PIG who I greatly admire, but c'mon? If I was a Dees man Id be dishing out the great APU line.

How about we just concentrate on getting PIG and Hurley signed. Or a 3 way trade to get Crouch in, at least that has some realistic chance of happening.
i think there gone hurley and pig

melbourne demons but dont worry we will get compensation picks for them

**** this club!!!

That's it, to the microwave with my membership card!

Going after Weideman has everything to do with the fact the Demons scored with some others picks and being able to ford the departure of a key position player like

The fact they have not one, not two but three very good key position options also in the wings?

Hullett, Max & Mitch King + Weideman are all in the reserves and doing extremely well.

One of the Kings went down with a knee injury but had a fantastic 2015 iirc.

Trading out Weideman would not only net them a very good/elite half back flanker, something that would round out there side perfectly but it would also enable them to re enter the 2016 draft inside the top 10.

Now call me silly, but where is the completely irrational part of my post?

You know, sometimes, a trade can be a win win for all clubs involved
Yoda.

We are not flipping Weideman after a year.

It's just not happening.

WA v Allies is on Fox (503?) on Saturday.

Looking forward to seeing Zac Fisher play. Haven't had the chance to see him play yet, but he's starting to get a small amount of credit (got mentioned by Cal "Nothing really matters" Twomey on that draft show they do) after being in the best for WA in both of their games.

Only 175cm for an outside midfielder/winger, but has played 8 senior games in the WAFL this year and is averaging 19 touches with 4 games above 20. Pretty impressive for a guy his size and at his age.

Seems the Weidemann suggestion was shot down pretty quickly. Would go again with some creative trading

Trade out pick 1 for picks 4 & 8, then on trade pick 8 to Melbourne + Hibbo for Weidemann and a second rounder.
I understand you need a long term partner up forward with Daniher, but that's the same reason Melbourne drafted Weideman, to be a long term partner up forward with Hogan, and if Hogan leaves then we'd be hoping Weideman steps up to be the number 1 forward for us. A decent long term key Forward is more important to us than a ready made half back flanker. Weideman would be close to untouchable from our point of view.

I think there are about 2 EFC BF members on here who thing Weiderman is a chance...
If hibbo leaves, we'll be lucky to get your 2 round pick..

"He's an Essendon lad, and doesn't like the culture up in GC. We could get him if we wanted him."

From BomberBlitz about Peter Wright. Not sure about its credibility and I know Wright signed a contract at the start of this year but please get it done dodo

Poor mans Zach Merrett.

What would Liam Hullet be worth then?

You guys have a few key forward who are likely types.

Liked what we saw of Hullet few weeks ago in the VFL and seen Max King do some good things in the VFL.

Melbourne have shown with the Melksham trade that if we want a particular player we happy to pay for it, you'll be getting at least our 2nd if this Hibberd stuff does generate.

Hullet is an interesting one, has kicked quite a few goals this year which has raised his value from his draft position. Would be more available than Weideman but not sure you'd bank on him just yet to be a long term forward next to Daniher, there would be better options out there for you guys than him at this stage. Are there any decent forward sprospects in this years draft?

Something that we're a realistic chance of getting?

Can't see Yoda being interested in that

McDonald has yet to agree to contract terms.
