Hibbo not one u want to lose but if we are going to regenerate the team quickly, he's the type we can get something for without a huge loss.

He was ordinary last year and only slightly better the year before.

You've got to give something to get something and I don't think he'll get better from here.

Hope pig stays, but I wouldn't pay overs to keep him either.

Plenty of options to play on the HBF. If our young midfielders come on like they should players like BJ will be squeezed back to the HBF anyway.

Maybe they haven't made their debuts due to bad luck with injuries.
Even if that's the case, Hibberd is a top 10 player at the club and arguably top 10 half backs in the league. Players like that aren't "easily replaced". Replaceable yes, but not easily.

You can't be a top 10 half back in the league and not be able to kick both feet nowadays. Simple as that.

Dane Rampe, Bachar Houli, Jasper Pittard are all up there and are also very one sided like Hibberd. So you're wrong. Again.

Are those 3 players really top 10 half-backs in the league or just the first three one-sided players you could think of?
They'd be close to it. Rampe and Pittard are in the AA side at this point IMO. If I made a list it would be something like:

1. Heath Shaw
2. Grant Birchall
3. Brodie Smith
4. Dane Rampe
5. Shannon Hurn
6. Jasper Pittard
7. Jason Johanniesen
8. Michael Hibberd
9. Bob Murphy
10. Zac Williams

With the likes of Houli, Sam Docherty, Kade Simpson and Rory Laird unlucky.

They probably are, but outside the top 5 it's not a very impressive list.

Who are the top 10 half backs?

Johannisen, Murphy, Docherty, Simpson, Shaw... Laird maybe but more of a pocket.

Bachar Houli? Top 10 half back flanker? Ur joking right? The only decent half back flanker you've named there is pittard. Just look at bob murphy. Great half back. Can kick both feet.

To be an elite half back flanker you have to have awareness, elite kicking both sides and pace. Hibberd lacks elite kicking both sides. Good half back flanker. Not a vital part of the team.

Houli's just outside the top 10 but he's definitely up there. Just keep digging.

Houli is definitely not near a top 10 half back. I go to a load of Richmond matches and he's just another mature age Richmond dud.

Let's be honest. If a half back flanker is a "vital part of the team", your team has more problems than who is playing half back flank.
