The best part of the final play that led to the Daniher goal is that the ball was flinging around in the middle, everyone fumbling it and out of everyone - Hipwood had the best hands to get it to Coleman.

Pretty stoked with the win. Haven't been happy about the team and our direction most of the year, but what a way to claw back a bit of credibility and belief, even if it's just to give us some momentum next year. Maybe we could get Sydney in Sydney as well? That would be something else!

Makes you wonder if Hardwick knows how the ARC locates the ball before going off half-cocked.

The ARC doesn't use three random angles to make their decision. The angles they showed were front on, then 45 degrees to the post to each side. If the ball is in the same position relative over the post in all three, then the ball couldn't have been anywhere but over the post.

A lot of the media will complain without actually looking into how the ARC came to their decision. Wonder if Ralphy has cleared his tears yet.

Lets hope this result is the catalyst to bigger and better things. A good win up against so much adversity. I didn't believe we could do it tbh.

Lachie Neale played like a skipper last night and Hugh McLuggage is next level.
Lachie was intense at the stoppages, all over the park and even worked back to get a few intercept marks in Richmonds forward 50, game changers.
That's how you gut run, and weave , pivot, handball ........, the list goes on.
Super human effort.

One of the gutsiest wins I've seen in some time, and your best win under Fagan IMO.

Not that it means much, but my housemate is a Tiges fan and was at the game last night, and when he got home I asked him what he thought about the call in the last few minutes - he thought I was talking about the running too far call against Rich and said it was bullshit.

Surprised he's not getting more votes.

Did as well as you can expect in an open free flowing final
I gave him votes. Crucial role.

Lachie's last tackle on Bolton was elite . And incredibly unrewarded by the umps.

2 talls in the forward line seemed to create more opportunities.

M/F functioned better without Lyons albeit Lachie and Clug had blinders.

McStays best game ever. By a long way.

Ah Chee obviously not expected to be needed when he was and still a bit underdone with 59% TOG.

Wilmott showed enough ,got a bit tired understandably.

Fages will have more sleepless nights before next Friday because after Fort for Oscar and Rayner for probably Robbo he's going to bring in Answerth and Lyons against the wishes of most supporters.

I though Lachies tackle was closer to holding the man. Shai didn't really take control of the footy.

Midfield looked more balanced with two attacking mids (Neale and Clug) and two defensive mids (Robertson and Matheson). They were able to cover defensively and Richmond weren't able to get out the front of the stoppages. Lyons is a luxury we can't afford. In future,he should only play if/when Neale can't play.

So true. The other player that was phenomenal, especially when the game was on a knife's edge in the last quarter was Mathieson. He has some amazing, hard at it, clutch possessions (EDIT) He is an absolute LOCK from here on in.

Sorry Caro ur prediction of the Tiges winning the Cup this season is not happening but well done on making the finals. Unfortunately you came up against a better team :)
Hopefully they will be taking solace from that fact that they lost to the eventual premiers :)

Low key sick of the sooks complaining about the review. Why is no one talking about Pickett's rushed behind? He was outside the nine, ran in and handballed it through which is deliberate everyday of the week?

Was at the game so maybe my view is a bit biased, what is everyones thoughts on Umpiring? I thought we got it pretty rough alot of the times? Maybe on the stat sheet free kick count might not look that bad but I felt like we didn't get the rub of the green on fairly impactful situations.

  • Several marks taken which were disallowed, even when we had and it was slapped out...but reverse they were paid
  • Plenty of Holding the ball and incorrect disposal calls didnt go our way
  • Rich run more than 15metres, those are rarely called

was very frustrating to watch

Coleman was actually off the back of the two scrums in a row that led to his kick to bailey. If you watch closely he also is surrounded by tigers and fakes one to get enough space to then kick over the top to bailey while getting tackled.

He is a ****ing gun.

He was standing in the middle of the goal square when he handballed, but it felt particularly rough after they got one when Starcevich missed a target by 1m and got done lol.

I find it laughable that this is the best level of umpiring we have. There were so many decisions you could query, but Jerry has his head ripped off and nothing - not to mention the Linc mark late. Even if you construed that Joe's attempt was unrealistic, he didn't interfere with the Richmond player that prevented him from spoiling Linc.

I did think Rich ran too far in the last though.

Remember when Richmond fans use to remind us that it doesn't matter how many touches Lachie Neale gets they are all worthless... How did the work our for you last night??

Great Game & Great Win guys
Good Luck the rest of the finals and hope you guys get there

Go Well Lions
You're good egg, but you're an exception among your brethren. I trust that your team will regress and go back to being middling 9th for a decade or two. (however I can't see that happening) You have given us grief and rubbed our noses in it for a long time and your mob has not been very gracious about it. But you're very welcome here.:)
