Despite my negativeness on preview thread we should get the job done.

Wet conditions suit our style. We have beaten Freo, WCE, Melb in wet conditions this year. Brisbane too.

Caleb Daniel to be best on ground. His wet weather record is superb.

Dogs by 25.

Same as you Dogsman16.

Despite being really disappointed with team management and selection over the last month, I’m expecting Smith, Treloar and Dunkley to have big games and for our defense to get the job done.

Dogs to win in a shoot out.

It’s all about the pressure. Tackle, smother, shepherd, do what it takes.
leave nothing on the table.
I want to see aggression. I want to see selfless team work.
I want to see a steely look in the eyes when lined up for the anthem.
i want to see the Bombers HUNTED from the first bounce. I want to see them tackled into oblivion.
I want to see Wright and Stringer knocked, shoved, and made to earn it.

Great thread title! Spot on. If we play as hard as Essendon, we win this game 99 times out of a 100. Even without a ruck or proper forward set up.

Rain plays right into our hands.

Our ruck issues are mitigated by the rain. We've have been extremely fortunate that 2 wet weather games this year were against West Coast and Melbourne.

We broke even against Nic Nat and Gawn as their mids weren't able to handle the clean taps. I think it negates Stringer's influence somewhat.

As long as we are smart with our positioning we should win on weight of numbers. Dale and Daniel in particular will be instrumental.

I’m 10 mins drive from the ground. Extremely overcast and threatening. 90% chance of rain between 3-6pm. I doubt it will be bucketing down, probably more a steady drizzle through the game.
Really need our skills to be on song today. Dale, Williams and Daniel will be super important to break those lines. We can’t be too cute kicking into 50. I’d rather see the like of JJ, Treloar and Vanders run into the 50 and score, then try to be too cute to Hannan or Naughton.

Watch Wood, Johannisen, Cordy, Williams early.

If they're playing with the intensity last night's sides brought, we're back.

We've got four high-quality midfielders who've become 'shoulder-aware' in the last month. This is going to have to be a whole team effort and our more lackadaisical players are the ones to watch.

It’s incredible that we have such large concerns on the first 3 given they’re all mature players who played terrific roles in bringing us our second premiership. Let’s hope they reward the faith showed in them by the MC.

I am assume the the ground runs north south most grounds do. With lights winds becoming stronger northerly during the day hope we win the toss and kick to south end.
