I don't want to make this about the men's team but the belief here was palpable even when Richmond pinched the lead. We just got back to work, won some clearances and remained confident the whole time that we could get it done.

But wtf was that music playing in the background during play that we heard in the broadcast, was there a wedding nearby or something or was the mike sitting above a poker machine? Friggin annoying.

What a gutsy effort , gotta say i was starting to think the never say die everybody put ya body on the line type of Footy had left our Club about a decade ago . The Girls have brought back a lot of Great memories for me and rekindled my enthusiasm , its not only the winning but the Gutsy way they go about it . Arnell and the whole outfit have already covered themselves in Glory and put our Senior men's Coach and most of the men's team to shame . I mean i hope Rozzie, Hinkley and Marshall etc., were watching this ! Anyhow great effort Ladies .

The music is actually maddening. It must be at the ground, I haven't been to Alberton for a Women's match so I haven't experienced it live.

But if I was there and they were playing music during play it would drive me nuts.

I didn't really notice the music at the ground but I was surprised the electronic screen showed a Tigers roar whenever Richmond kicked a goal. It's our home game, we get the benefits. Stop this woke nonsense!

The nerves clearly hit Richmond early, the players fumbling and miskicking disposals they would normally nail, while Port Adelaide thrived on the finals adrenaline, the surge game style catching the Tigers' defence out time and time again.

Hawks have unique bragging rights too - right now we are the only two teams left in it of the sides that came in with us (Essendon and Sydney are gone).

I didn't see the game, but just checking the scores and blown away. We continue to be a big scoring, efficient side, that despite being a little weak in quality mids, has enough balance, a complementary game plan and an extremely dangerous forward line, and that is getting us results. The stats show it, we just have bigtime hurt factor, despite low possession counts.

Very impressive. If we can pick up another few gun mids over the next couple years, we're well on our way.

No doubt our skill level has gone up a few notches. But we ran out the game well in warm conditions. It really takes a few seasons for a new team to reach afl standard fitness levels
