Thats the one. I dont remember all the details but I reckon thats about the only time I can recall them saying something along the line of "yes you hit him but it was forgivable in the circumstances"
From memory it was something about having sex with a person in one of Headland's tattoos, which turned out was Des's daughter.

Selwood said he regrets it because he only found out later it was Des's daughter, but you'd think that chances are it's likely to be a mum, wife, or daughter - I wonder which ones Selwood would've considered fair game for the sledge.

I don't think the problem with our team is talent. I didn't want to believe it until the Melbourne game because for the last three years the team has been growth based and young. But by gee we need to get some serious sports shrinks into the joint and work out the mentality for these big contests. The whole thing is between the ears. We would have played that first half better to just give every player half a benzodiazepine. Actually I wonder is that even illegal? That's where id be looking.

Benzo's have crossed my mind as well especially for the players prone to anxiety. If it is illegal than a handful of theanine caps will also do the trick - alert but relaxed

Reserves Report from Lions Website

“The Brisbane Lions VFL side have done what no other side has been able to do this year, defeating the Casey Demons and securing a home final in the process.

Brisbane jumped out of the blocks early thanks to a handy goal to Mitch Cox before a shootout ensued, with both teams going goal-for-goal until half time.

With score levels at the main break, the Lions found another gear in the second half, keeping the Demons to just three goals for the remainder of the game in a brilliant defensive display.

Nakia Cockatoo and Darcy Wilmot provided plenty of rebound from half-back, while Wylie Buzza, Connor McFadyen and Ryan Lesterproved the difference in the air, combining for 22 marks and nullifying much of the Casey attack.

Up forward, Dev Robertson couldn’t miss in a three-goal display, including an impressive boundary bending goal under immense pressure.

The 21-year-old was again in the best-on-ground votes, collecting 30 disposals, six tackles and five clearances alongside his hattrick of majors.

However, it was Mitch Robinson who stole the show. Having been activated as medi-sub less than 24 hours prior, the 33-year-old inspired his team to victory.

Robinson finished with 42 disposals, 11 marks, 11 inside 50s, 10 clearances and six tackles in a dominant display.

Darcy Fort continued his impressive form, racking up 32 hitouts, 10 clearances and a goal, while Henry Smith is developing into a dangerous threat up forward and will be one to watch in the finals.”

If we are serious against Richmond, Robertson, Fort and Lester need to be selected. Fagan has to stop the ‘rinse and repeat’ selection of players in putrid form and reward sustained strong form in the reserves.
We would get absolutely torched in every part of the ground if those three come in..

Force matters. There wasn't much in it despite the blood. Cricket pitch done it, your honour. I think it could go either way, but he was wrestling a player much bigger than himself to the ground, and did it with a reasonable amount of care. Define reasonable i guess...

A conspiracy theorist would say the AFL want to see Richmond go as far a$ possible and eliminating Rayner would certainly help that cause

If I was able to print what some players have told me what has been said to them you'd obviously be staggered.

It's so preposterous some just laugh it off but they're looking to test a vulnerability that might affect your game.

It's not as prevalent in this era where a lot of the players switch clubs and they have friends across the game

Okay now I'm thinking along the lines of threats of violence towards a player or his family.

Richmond will go hard at Zorko. Lets see if he keeps his head

If you don't mind oppo supporters posting. I don't watch a lot of your games but I don't rate Raynor, a very slow burn high draft pick... he's not a Neale big possession getter nor a big goal kicker. Let him play.

Its going to be close.....last final up there was pretty close. You finally won one.. first since your flag years in early 2000s (I go the Gabba/Metricon a bit for our games) so you know how to do it. We gave away our usual quota of dumb 50m penalties. We had a couple of underdone players that game and no Lynch. We've got an underdone Dusty due to comeback plus 5 or 6 first year players.

Quick question. I have been tasked with buying the tickets for the Richmond game for our group of 6. Two of the couple's have received their emails from the club with 2 barcodes. The other couple only received 1 barcode for the two of them. Can you buy 2 tickets with 1 barcode?

YES.

In the email I got with the barcodes it says 2 tickets per membership, we are category 1 members though so don't know if that makes any difference.

If we're not going to win the flag this year, at least we can all relax and enjoy the fact we're going to take 1, 2 or maybe 3 more games of football to watch this year. Then reset and start again

Strange you would think the AFL would assist Richmond where just about everything they do is to our detriment
6-6-6 was introduced to stop our extra in defence from cutting out the opposition center clearances
Stand rule was introduced to stop Richmond frenetic ball movement after marks and cutting off angles (admitted by hocking when introduced)
Always the team that gets the least free kicks and gives away the most last 6 years
Our players even get suspended for a bump sheperd that "Has the potential to cause injury" Marlion Pickett this year

Maybe your thinking Pies

Dont think we would , Very rarely we fight other peoples battles
Zorko would have to do something silly to 1 of our kids like Cumberland or MRj to trigger a response from our lot and that will most likely come from Lynch,Nank, Pickett or Cotchin

You seem to have a bit of paranoia going on.

I don't think everything ,in fact probably none of that is due to Richmond. Maybe some of those rules are for the betterment of the game.

Who knows ,maybe they might end up helping you . You don't have the same team forever.

Not really paranoia when Hocking comes out and said " We needed to stop the way Richmond was moving the ball"

Well maybe he had good reason then.

It must have stopped others too.

Not everything's about Richmond.

You only last so long doing something in footy till someone else does it better.

Or you can't do it any more.

Yes agree but thats very different to the AFL changing a rule to stop a particular clubs game plan only because it was too effective

Do you believe the AFL would have banned backward kicks or marks if Eagles or Cats had won 3 flags ?

I would be beyond depressed if we lose this, just can't comprehend that our last win of the year could be that game against the Saints at Marvel. Need to restore some hope for next year and faith in the playing group if we're not going to win the flag this year. Win or lose this is our final game at the Gabba in front of our home crowd, we're due for a defining win this year, 2019 it was the Geelong game, 2020 was the qualifying final last year it was the West Coast game in the final game of our season.

First, my reply has nothing to do Zorko or fighting another teams battle. Everyone here knows I'd have him off the list tomorrow.

You've got a couple of players up in your forward line who carry the campaigner tag around these parts, one of them most definately likes to pick fisghts and shove players faces in to the turf.
