I’m really conflicted. If bulldogs win were off to Perth with no chance. But if bulldogs loose hawks season is still alive. So in choosing between the preservation of my team, or seeing Hawthorn fail, I have to say - go doggies.
But if Tigers lose and Dogs win we play Tigers.

I'd take being competitive in a final as a step forward at this stage.
^^ This. Any of the teams we may meet could blow us away & We can beat anyone at our best.

Finals, you have to bring it or a massive loss awaits.

We are as much a chance to win first game as anyone. At least we are a chance, 8 teams won't be playing!

I dont expect us to win regardless of who we play. Though I would have liked our chances against the pies relatively speaking.

But we.have no excuses for not being competitive. Even though I worry about what west coast could do to us....

Stranger things have happened, why not v The Pies week 2.

Absolutely. I've got no real fears about a trip west, we won there recently, Eagles aren't in killer form, other than probably Clarkson who else would you want coaching against them. The only team I really wouldn't want to face week one is the Tigers, I couldn't see that ending well.

I love being positive. However, the most likely outcome is Essendon going to WA or Sydney and getting pumped away from him in a humiliating way. Just like the loss to Sydney a few years ago and Adelaide a few years before that.

Having 90% of our supporter watching the game on a screen. Then turning the screen off before 3/4 time with a resignation that is soon replaced by enthusiasm for the change of seasons. That is shite.

We are one of the weakest final sides in the past two decades, with a percentage well south of one hundred. As fans we shouldn't feel confident against anyone. But surely a trip West with a hostile crowd and three umpires gunning for a home victory is the worst possible matchup.

I'd rather a trip west than playing the Tigers at the G. We'd get absolutely mauled. We always do vs them... our game doesn't stand up to their pressure.

I want Richmond because I'd rather have Richmond travel to Perth in the semi rather than the opposite.

We’ll get destroyed. I’d rather play West Coast in case we catch a nervous West Coast having a rare meltdown. No such chance for us against Richmond at the G.

Let’s see how the Tigers get through today. You are probably right but I’d rather play at the G and get pumped by a good side than fly interstate and be frustrated by an uneducated crowd and biased umpiring!

Richmond putting their foot down. West Coast in Perth it is.
Would probably prefer that to the Tigers tbh, they own us so badly.

????? Please eth-dog you can probs change the title
