Fine? If we stay top 4 ange is a miracle worker

Maddison - 2 months
VDV - 2 months
Romero and udogie - 3 games
Richarlison - 1 month
Perisic - 6 months
Solomon - 3 months
Sessengon - 2 months

8 missing for the next month with only 3 returning, and Son is carrying a knock like maddison was before his went too far.

At CB we have Dier, Hojberg and Phliips from the u21s for a month thag includes Man City
Just get on with it. ;)

We used to play Phillips, Henderson, Fabinho and Rhys Williams in central defense haha

Luckily you get to play ANOTHER bottom half team this week.
The flip side is that you have to play everyone twice, just like everyone else.

Another?

We've played 5 games against top half and 6 against bottom half.

Just city of the top 4 we haven't played. Good try though pal

Yeah we will. We aren't asking for games to be postponed.

I'm just saying we can't expect to maintain form that's had ange win manager of the month 3 times in a row and be 1pt off city in 2nd

We finished 3rd with a CB pairing one of which played at Kidderminster the previous season & the other who played second divvy Bundesfarma after all 3 CBs suffered season ending injuries. Spurs are miles off that crisis.

Well we are screwed. Maddison and van de Ven out until the new year. Richarlison a month

At least it is only 14 more points to safety

The first 11 is not bad. Dier, Emerson Royal, Bentancur and Johnson to come in. Maybe Ben Davies could return. The bench would be looking pretty thin though.

It's the back 4 where the problems lie. Dier doesn't have the pace to play angeball long term but is first choice. To partner him we have Hojberg who is slower than Dier, Davies who is similar pace to Dier or Ashley Phillips who is probably close to VDV in pace but has less than 20 senior championship games experience.

I'd be backing the kid in against wolves. Need to see how he goes before the City game. If either Davies or Hojberg stunk it up against Wolves which they're every chance to do, then we aren't going to the kid next game to debut for us against City

Yeah, good try, context is everything of course, both sets weighted to the lower end

Five top 10.
a sensational win over Arsenal, last minute own goal VAR screw up win over Liverpool, 8th placed Man Utd (top half, but atrocious club really), 9th placed Brentford, and a loss to 10th placed Chelsea.

Six bottom 10, seven after tonight
Includes 14th, 15th, 17th 18th, 19th, 20th.

Good news is, unlike the AFL, it all balances out in the end.

How many games did your "CB pairing" play together?

They didn't beat Arsenal.

Pretty much the entire run in. Playing midfielders at CB was not working. And reinforcements at the end of Jan (with no fit CBs) was Davies for 1.5m (never played a game) and Kabak on loan who was utter rubbish and benched.

So 4. Or was it 5?

After 11 games if we'd played 8 of the bottom half then you'd have a point. But a 5/9 vs 6/10 split is as balanced as it can be considering we can't play ourselves. Possibly the weirdest thing I've read about our good start under Ange is these 2 posts.

And if the splits not your issues it's that we've played the wrong top half teams. Because Brentford, Chelsea, United, Liverpool and Arsenal aren't as worthy to be top half as City, Brighton, Newcastle or Villa?

Of course it all balances out, Newcastle had a tough start but then it eases, it's the benefit of a full H&A program isn't it?

Tottenham's first 12 is definitely on the easier side than average though, but they can only beat who they played so good on em. If you disagree then it's your prerogative.

Take 8 players out from all bar city and they'd struggle badly. Especially when it's 3 of the starting back 4, the main creative player and 3 players who all play the same position.

KDB, Dias, Stones, Ake, Alvarez, Doku, Grealish, and Nunes all out at the same time and they'd drop to our level us mere mortals are at.
christ with how small our team is we'd certainly get to know some of the kids.

Credit to Tottenham squad that after their trials and tribulations, they can still turn out an 11 that has no room for Skipp, Le Celso and Bentacur.

what a great start.

Horrendous defending by Wolves. Would be a strong chance for relegation in other years, are really lucky that this season Luton, Burnley, Bournemouth and Sheff U are so bad its unbelievable.

I Would like to think that Everton will be able to get dragged back into the relegation scrap:)
Btw Wolves have improved a bit since conceding that goal. Game far from over

Didn't realise Tottenham weren't allowed to play the bottom 10 sides
