Spurs fans should be more worried about finishing above Chelsea than finishing above Man City.
Based on what exactly? Still playing turgid football and 11 points in arrears nearing 1/3 into the season.
Not worried about Chelsea at all.

Well we are screwed. Maddison and van de Ven out until the new year. Richarlison a month

At least it is only 14 more points to safety
I thought Maddison was gonna be a problem because he went down with nobody around him. But then he wanted to play on and not come off. But I thought, if you've gone down with nobody around you, something is up. So I'm not surprised to see him out for some time. VDV was an obvious, looked to tear it off the bone.

It's a shame, you dont like to see injuries to players and Spurs were flying but surely the system Ange has Spurs playing, they should be just fine.

Fine? If we stay top 4 ange is a miracle worker

Maddison - 2 months
VDV - 2 months
Romero and udogie - 3 games
Richarlison - 1 month
Perisic - 6 months
Solomon - 3 months
Sessengon - 2 months

8 missing for the next month with only 3 returning, and Son is carrying a knock like maddison was before his went too far.

At CB we have Dier, Hojberg and Phliips from the u21s for a month thag includes Man City

Just saw it doesn't count towards it. That's a relief it's only the one game he's out for. But he is on a tightrope upon returning for his 5th

You’re going to be missing a number of key players for the foreseeable future - potentially through the busiest period of the season. Not only do you not have adequate replacements for them, you also don’t have any opportunity to buy replacements for the majority of that time. Your squad depth is going to be severely tested, and I don’t think it’s realistic that you will sustain the rate of point accumulation you have been going at thus far.

Chelsea will also get better. Pochettino is a good manager, they have the players and a squad which is much better than where they currently sit. They’ll start to pick up points at a much higher rate than they have so far.

We’re not even a third of the way through the season, so an 11 point gap can easily be bridged. I’m not necessarily saying that it will happen, but I’d rather bet on that happening than Spurs finishing within a few points of Man City come season’s end.

I also don't think Chelsea have played as badly as the results have been.

No right-minded spurs fan or ange even said this would be our year. We all knew it would take 3-4 windows for him to build a good enough squad to handle unfortunate situations like we've got now

True, we arent playing bad or turgid football we are just not being clinical enough with our chances.

With Nkunku two games away hopefully he can help fix this problem. A good team is building slowly.

Wasting this on me, positive minded by nature and still not too worried about Chelsea.

Try JD he's negative enough normally to swallow this up and wallow in misery for months.

He must be close to 5 yellows by now too so thought it compounded to be 3?

Those two yellows in the Chelsea game don't count towards the five.

Having said that I would say VAR did Ange a favour by not reviewing the first tackle. Felt the ref would have upgraded it to a straight red / 3 game ban.

Some excellent points made here.

Var did review the first tackle for ages. Deemed a yellow wasn't worthy of overturning. Its one of those weird shit things with the current setup. If Romero was given an on field yellow there's a chance it doesn't get upgraded, and in the same way if Udogie got an on field red it wouldn't have been downgraded

Take 8 players out from all bar city and they'd struggle badly. Especially when it's 3 of the starting back 4, the main creative player and 3 players who all play the same position.

KDB, Dias, Stones, Ake, Alvarez, Doku, Grealish, and Nunes all out at the same time and they'd drop to our level us mere mortals are at.

A few teams with a lot of injuries ..Pool, Chelsea, Newcastle, Brighton, Brentford ..even Sheff U.
Only Brighton to date comes close number wise and we've seen their performances dip and would expect them to continue to struggle.

Newcastle will be like us, struggling i think to maintain current form.

Liverpool have 5 confirmed and 2 doubtful and we saw them awful mid week.

Sheff Utd hard to judge since they're not up to the league standards. And Chelsea are in a weird spot of settling into the new manager with so many new players, so their 10th spot is a mix of both reasons.

Even City struggled missing just KDB and Rodri
