Thank goodness we have 16 flags and at least won one of them in the 2000s (albeit 2000). Other clubs have been waiting longer for glory than us.

2022 - Geelong
2023 - Collingwood
2021 - Melbourne
2020 - Richmond
2018 - West Coast
2016 - Western Bulldogs
2015 - Hawthorn
2012 - GWS, Sydney
2011 - Gold Coast
2004 - Port Adelaide
2003 - Brisbane
2000 - Essendon
1998 - Adelaide
1995 - Carlton, Fremantle
1966 - St Kilda

not many though

Is the days count at 7700'ish?

Still got a way to go before there's any possibility of a finals win given what little we've seen from them past couple of years.

Confident we'll be another club that passes them next season

Just 6 of those came during the past 74 years. Count them: six since 1950.

A grand total of 2 are actual AFL flags.

That's more than zero, but you're carrying on like the * are on some sort of World Record pace to GOAT status. Which is in tune with the great dynasty of 2000-2000 your entire club was crowing about for the best part of 24 months directly after it ended.

You have no finals win in 20 years. Nobody is jealous of a bunch of plonkers dancing in the Ashes of a non existent golden era.

Essendon's biggest achievement during this impotent era has been to bring the entire game of AFL into disrepute. One of your players had to give back his Brownlow.

Then the architects of this subterranean stupidity were forced to leave kicking and screaming, while a good portion of your back office secretly wished that they'd stay.

Which begs the question, is that you James/Kevin?

That's nuts. Brisbane atleast had a dynasty in there and atleast made it to a grand final. Adelaide were coming off a back to back and they two made a grand final but somehow nuked everything in the process. Fremantle came close but ran into a Hawks dynasty. Carlton were real bad but won a couple of finals then rebuilt and are a lot closer than the Bombers (still a pretty tough era to be a Blues fan though after their last flag). Saints came agonisingly close too.

Essendon are almost in their own category of having had a really rough 20 or so years.

Please explain which part has been misinterpreted, Kevin/James?

Mate, straight up, you're a turkey. You need to not have so many coffees. It's not good for you.

They were over the cap in 2000 (Ricky Nixon's dodgy domain names for Lloyd & Lucas) and in 1993 too (and were fined for it).

Since equalisation, some clubs have just been found out.

While I’m enjoying the Bombers’ drought as much as the next guy, in fairness they have won 4 awesome premierships in my living memory.

I still have nightmares about Leon Baker and that last quarter in 84. In 85, they destroyed us even with Dermie kicking 8. 93 and the Baby Bombers was one of the most exciting premierships ever seen. And 2000 was the greatest single season of dominance I’ve seen by any club.

Ok, after sharing that I need an extreme wash with soap and antiseptic.

Only played for one year at each club, never to return to any of them. I wonder what that says about him?
