It's sad Dodoro is no longer there. When you think if Essendon, you think of Dodoro.

Terrible way they've treated their longest serving clubman.
Lets not kid ourselves, he is probably still making list management decisions in an unofficial role.
the fact he tried to sue Essendon for unfair dismissal, there is no coming back to this ex and its toxic relationship

Sound overblown
Almost like another excuse
It’s not overblown at all. The club is really controlled by the coterie, they are like a mafia behind the scenes

He tried and won. Close to a million payout got mentioned on SEN

Gee your going bad when you make a clown like Sam McClure look smart

They could still win 12 - 13 games but with the fundamental issues they’ve got across the park in regards to defending the transition and defense as a whole it does look like a bit of a longshot at this point.

Nobody wants to answer your question
Not too many people that could name names, since those with access and influence don’t usually find themselves on bigfooty, let alone the afl main board.

The coterie groups are named on the club website and they have their own websites that sometimes list their members. There’s heaps of coteries, some are more powerful than others, and within that you have interpersonal dynamics, so hundreds of people to weed through.

If it was one or two people you could name it would be much easier to address. But the flip side of that is they seem to congregate around Sheedy so at least you know what schtick they’re gonna have when the next one starts taking.

If we assume hawks and crows will be amongst the better sides this year, the Bombers 12 and 15 goals in opening 2 rounds is far from a horrible return.

If Sam was gonna take a shot i would have thought he would focus on how many goals are being conceeded.

To me the poor transition defence to me has been mostly built on poor offence (live ball turnovers) and lack of trust/communication (with a dash of physicality)

With turnovers hurting both attack and defence being able to clean up some of the bad ones and playing with better flow and togetherness will go a long way.

It’s absolutely bad turn overs, hardest thing to defend is a missed handball or kick in dangerous space. Even shallow F entries can be switched and rebounded quickly and cost you goals.

This is why Scott was obviously angry at sheil when he won the clearance but just kicked it to an uncontested port player at centre half forward. Straight after they Rebounded and kicked a goal.

Essendon will never be a good defending team while they have below average skills, impossible for defenders to defend forwards with grass to work in and quick ball movement.

Scott spoke to this on 360, generally the better defending teams are just the better football teams.

Shiel has a long, raking beautiful drop punt action that’s great when kicking for distance…however when it comes to passing with a pinpoint kick over 35 mtrs on the run, he is absolutely abysmal.

Kicks blind. Has zero awareness of targets ahead of him.

i think we need more of a barometer.

So far Hawks and Crows look good, but i reckon your Roo's have improved massively also, amongst other teams that were around us last year.

Think Essendon are going to give up and down performances for a while yet, which is what it is when you play so many kids.
