would essendon be interested in ottens? im thinking he could become a permenent CHF in our line up with scotty permently at CHB....if he could get his body right and form right we could do alotta damage come next season

Essendon dont really go after the big stars demanding lots of money.
However, why wouldnt we just develop what we have, an get Laycock going at CHF.
A hell of alot cheaper and we already have him, so we dont need to give up anything.

IIRC, we signed him fairly recently - but I probably wouldn't trade him anyway. He's got the talent and the body - just needs a heart and some aggro in him.

Of course we would want him in our team but no we will not go after him. He is too expensive to pay, although we have a bit of cash to spend this year it isnt that much.

Ottens does not fit Essendon's structure at all - perhaps if Hille was our only ruckman I'd consider a trade. But with Allan staying and Laycock a working progress it would be a waste of time and money.
