Lloyd will have the likes of Lucas, Johns, Lovett and Hird, just to name a few, supporting him. That right there is some of the best support in the business a Full Forward can ask for.
As far as our kids go... the 2007 season hasn't started so how do you know if they've taken the next step or not?

Best forward line is Sydney, Hird dosen't score enough, Lovett and Johns you wouldn't pin any hopes of them scoring many during the season the only two players that are any good in the forward line is Lucas and Lloyd.

The young talent Essendon have are below what most teams have.

Of the 8 teams that played finals football in 06 - West Coast, Adelaide, Sydney, Fremantle, Collingwood, Melbourne, St Kilda and the Bulldogs, I can't see the Dons being able to replace any of those teams. Possibly the Pies, but even then it's a big ask for the Bombers.

Don't get me wrong, they'll improve no doubt...But don't expect magic in 07 Bombers fans

I know this is going to sound biased coming from me but i can tell you now that Essendon will definitely play finals this year.

It really annoys me when unknowledgeable kids post crap predicting Essendon to finish in the bottom four again this year.

Well, put your money where your mouth is and go and put some cash on them (you can get $2.75 with Sportsbet) otherwise shut the **** up.

Those players are not even listed in our starting 22 and nearly all of them would be starting on the field if they played for Hawthorn.
Also, you said that we have a lot of inexperience but also a lot of old players past their best.
If we have an old list, that generally means we have an experienced list.
Make up your mind.

Monfries 22 Goals
Hird 19
Lovett 17
Johns 12

Is a good forward line, Lloyd will come back and kick 60+ but Lucas will come back down to 30+ goals a year.

Essendon will have a better year but still miles off in terms of finals.

The dearth of old players past their best I refer to are Campo, Michael, Johnson x 2 and Hird. Can't see these blokes having the impact your'e banking on.

Your depth is horrible - only Slattery would be allowed to train at Waverley.

he has a point about the spine and forwardline. They would have to be very close if not the best in the league problem is our midfield is still terrible . Thats the real area of concern and unfortunatly where the majority of modern day football is won. I still think we will make the 8 but we will more then likely be out the first week. I'd be dissapointed if we were lower then 10th. Also nearly die of a heartattack if we made the top four.
