on goal they have a new news article that says when AJ goes Moyes will look to replace like for like in the form of Australia's own Scotty McDonald!

IMO i would rather see Vaughan given more of a first team run but hey sign Scotty then just chase a few more like Lucas Neil and Culina and Everton might before the new Australian team..lol

Another week and not a hint of a signing.
Ohh we have re-signed Phil Neville to a multi year deal.

Also did not manage to beat Forrest in the practice game.

Van Der Meyde and Arteta also injured.

Re-signing Phil Neville on a four year deal bewilders me, especially when he still had two years remaining on his current contract. As for Arteta, Moyes said post game that it was just a knock to the shin and nothing to be worried about and Van Der Meyde had what looked to be a thigh strain. Moyes also said Andy Johnson missed because of a hamstring injury (but I think we all know the real reason he wasn't playing).
Just from what I have read about the Forest and Preston matches, it sounds like Jose Baxter may be an option to feature in the first team this season, which is great considering he would have just turned 16. The Everton academy seems to be great at producing strikers with Jeffers, Rooney, Vaughan, Anichebe and now Baxter. It is imperative that he signs his proffessional forms when he turns 17, because the big four will be sniffing around and it would be a real kick in the guts to only get £700K for him ala Bostock and palace.

Abandonded? where did you hear that? There is no way they will abandon it.. its ridiculous if they do, its not that much more to buy him.

Didn't you only offer 11.8m?

Way short of their valuation.

We offered 12.. The player wants to leave so they aren't going to hold him to ransom too much. We can sort out a deal, moutinho is apparently happy with the money that will be offered to him at Everton (double what he was on at Sporting)

Depends though.

Pretty sure he's captain, a real young captain, shows how highly they value him.

12m? Not even close IMO.

16 minimum.

You are suggesting they are going to keep a player at the club who doesn't want to be there? Thats not smart.

I know its not close.. but have you ever gone to buy a car and gone.. I'll give you 65million!!!!! Of course not, you offer low and negotiate.

It’s very possible.

Club captain, fans favourite, I assume he came through the academy as a kid.

The dude has hardly gone Gareth Barry moan and groan in the press either.

If he’s that good, he’ll wait for a big club to come in for him.

Yeah, but you don’t offer 6-7m less than they want :D

It’s stupid, and it pisses other clubs right off. i.e. Gareth Barry “mish mash” offer.

^^ I don't think they will keep him, but they want to get as much from us as they can, especially considering that Tottenham, Arsenal and some of the other big clubs of the world are keeping an eye on it waiting to make a bid.

With all the money Tottenham have made they could outbid us to the extent of 15-19millon while we are only offering 13 atm. 15 should see us get him as he want to come to Everton, but if it isn't enough for the club then he could end up somewhere else..

Maybe because he's not english? thats why there is barely a moan and groan :D

Also... We aren't Liverpool, we don't make other clubs angry by offering useless hacks like Crouch or Carson ;)

They are? Tottenham have signed Dos Santos and Modric therefore won't take Moutinho. Arsenal signed Nasri and won't take him. Chelsea have Deco and Man U have Ronaldo.. there is no need for those teams to take a run for him. He wants to go to England so I can't see anyone else that is after him. Trust me when I say we will be offering more, there is no doubt. We have come this far, we are not going to have another Fernandes happen because they know what happened last time.
