lol we suck

We can't score, therefore we suck. We aren't going down (I don't think), however, we seem to lack a lot of quality transitioning from the midfield to the final 1/3 or we are lacking quality finishers.

Defensively we are doing alright, but no point conceding a goal or two a game if we can't get one or two the other end ourselves

The Iwobi transformation arc just keeps getting better, easily MOTM today.

Great result, good clean sheet and leaves me feeling that we're heading in the right direction again.

The offside goal made me laugh. No idea what the lineo saw but it got rightly overturned. Decent effort to go 3-0 with three different scorers and palace were in pretty good form too. 6 goals they’ve shipped at goodison in their past two games ;) not a happy hunting ground for them

We go again

We are painfully inconsistent and even though we have depth in defence, it's obviously not quality depth when you look at which defenders started v Bournemouth and then again who got subbed on, plus the formation that Lampard went with; he should have just kept it simple/basic, rather than **** with everything

We also seem to have a League Cup curse, wherein we seldom do much and don't get too far

Two steps forward and Five steps back currently

Bringing back Gueye was a massive mistake. I was happy when we got rid of him but we never got an adequate replacement...

However he just cannot pass the ball adequately at this level and never has been able to.

He also couldn’t hit a barn door to save his life

Does anyone else remember about a decade ago when we had about 3/4 of the first team + some fringe players go off to the world cup to represent their country?

Now we have 3/4 of our first team + fringe players going off to play an Australian Cup v Celtic. How times have changed

Number of Everton representatives at the WC:

2006: 2
2010: 6
2014: 6
2018: 3
2022: 4

We actually had 7 in 2010 which is the WC I was thinking of and Coady is on loan, so he's technically not ours
Well, the 7th in 2010 I didn't count on purpose as it was Philippe Senderos, a player who made 2 appearances on loan for Everton.

Every other played listed was a core part of Everton, so I think counting 7 for 2010 is a stretch.

As for Coady, he is at least a core part of the roster, having already made 14 appearances. I'd be fine including him.

Breaking my self-imposed ban from this board to say we are a pathetic, pissweak club who should be embarrassed from top to bottom.

The board needs to be sacked for what they have turned the club into in such a short amount of time.

I didn’t want to see a succession of managers sacked, but Frank can’t keep his job with a team that never gets better, team selection and tactics that only result in questions like “why?”.

What the actual **** were the club doing during a 6 week break?

3 wins in 18 games is just sleepwalking to relegation. If we go down, we are never coming back up.
