How did ferrari go 1,3 to 4,6. Boggles the mind.

It's Ferrari.

Evident from the first race that despite Mercedes being slower than the frontrunners and Red Bull being less reliable, that they tended to get strategy right more often that not - this race was a clear example - P1 and P7 converted to a double podium, P10 and P11 to a win and P5.

An interesting fact - this was the first race in four years that neither Verstappen nor Hamilton qualified in the top 6 - they ended up P1 and P2 anyway. It's clear who the two best drivers are in F1. When Hamilton inevitably loses his pace Verstappen only needs a reliable fast-ish car under him to keep winning championships, his drive today was near flawless combined with perfect team strategy.

It isn't just the strategy. The Merc has been ridiculously reliable this season- at least compared to RB and Ferrari.

Watching the post race interview with SAI then, you could see LEC in the background talking to PER….LEC looked mighty pissed….and you couldn’t blame him after today

So Leclerc wasn't struggling on the tyres and they forced him in?

They seriously forced him in when he was comfortable to put him on to awful tyres... Leclerc almost looks like he is holding back tears. Poor guy must be at breaking point

Only way Verstappen and Red Bull blow this now, is through spectacular mechanical DNFs, race after race. Even then, Ferrari will screw it up.

Worked okay for Lando but he is the only one. It is almost worth boxing again for softs and see what happens.

It worked because everyone immediately behind him were on hards too, he was losing time hand over fist to those in front of him. He was only a few seconds off being lapped and finished over a minute behind Le Clerc in front of him.

Everyone behind Dan were on a mixture of mediums and softs.

It's getting to the point that I'm honestly wondering whether they're match fixing.

My wife (who's seen maybe 3 grand prix's in her life) couldn't understand and was questioning bringing Charles in.

Max's car is quick but it's not that quick that he should start 10th, fly past 2 Ferrari's (and Merc's to a lesser extent), spin and then still win by 10 seconds. It's just a whole other level of ineptness that I really don't recall seeing in my life. Not from a team.
