Yuki fans are so ******* stupid. Going off on Reddit with complete blinders as to what and why things happened. All they think is Yuki got screwed and * everyone else.
yuki should pull his head in and bitch internally.

It made sense when Yuki was told to do it. He was behind KMag for ages without being able to pass him despite having DRS advantage. Daniel was faster on the faster tyres. Daniel could have passed KMag and then backed him up into Yuki to help Yuki get by. It was never about points or points finishing places.
Agree.

Also, if Yuki wants to take Cheko's place he'd better start following team orders even when he doesn't like them. No way will Max tolerate Yuki's tantrum from last night.

Yuki is no chance of replacing Checo. He is only there because Honda want him there.

A lot of unknowns around Red Bull

Perez had a very good race, and if he keeps it up (always his biggest issue) then he may well have that seat going into next year.
Daniel was helped out by a good strategy, because otherwise he was well beaten by Yuki in qualifying and the early part of the race.

If Lawson were to come into RB, would he be more likely to replace Yuki or Daniel ?

Daniel explained post race about the loss of time at the start. He started on used softs which they knew would cost time but they didn't realise it would cost them as much as it did. But, they also knew that putting the new softs on for the final stint would allow them to gain the time back.

Lawson will more likely replace Yuki. Even if Daniel doesn't get the Red Bull seat he is invaluable for giving information on the car. Plus, the Honda contract is up at the end of next year so I wouldn't be surprised if Yuki is dumped at the end of the season.

Problem with Perez is that he's 34 so there are naturally going to be questions about when he's going to start to drop off. Yes guys like Hamilton or Alonso are much older but he does not have the resume that those guys do.

The obvious candidate to replace him IMO is Sainz - he's been the best #2 driver on the grid for the last two years and he can do the stuff that Perez does well (controlling pace, holding up cars behind, managing tyres to extend stints etc.)

Yep I think Sainz is set for a very good season, and will have both Mercedes and Red Bull chasing his signature.

That had to rate as one of the dullest GPs i've ever watched. 2024 is shaping up as one of my least eagerly anticipated seasons in a sport i've been watching keenly since 1986. Other than keeping a close eye on Oscar's development, I just can't envisage any narratives of interest to me. And the fact I despite Max is going to make it all the more painful. Likewise the slow painful death of Ricciardo's career.

I can’t see him going to Red Bull after the Helicopter Dad scenario when Ver/Sainz were at Toro Rosso together. He goes to Merc or Sauber/Audi IMO.

Yuki can go.
He showed his hand last night. Extremely immature when things don’t go his way. Imagine he dove bombs and ****s both cars post race?? Madness. I suppose from a Red Bull perspective it’s cheaper to collect the fee from Honda for his services than give the seat to Lawson, but I would love to see a DR/Lawson combo at RB. Yuki is one of my least favourite drivers on the grid.

The Horner business is not going away. Max has been asked by the FIA president to give his unqualified support to Horner, which so far Max has been reluctant to do. I suppose this request puts him at odds with his father's wishes (bearing in mind the rumours Jos leaked the texts), but not following through might put him at odds with the team.

WTF business is it of the FIA President to be asking a driver about it

Max has been handling it perfect so far, its really not his place to be commenting.

It shouldn't be his father's either... and his father is clearly the one who is driving the whole thing.

Jos will rip that team to pieces and if Marko lets him it will be one of the worst things to happen to an F1 team IMO.

Im not getting into the right/wrong of the Horner situation - but more the internal power plays that are seemingly inside the team.

the team wont be able to succeed with this degree of instability internally all season long IMO.
