On another note, the annual drivers dinner was held again and Fernando was the only one not to turn up. Pretty ordinary really.

Lando made the humorous observation that Max and George were sat at opposite ends of the table haha.

Probably went to bed early, he's pretty old these days !!!

Keep on hearing Ricciardo's name mentioned as a driver.

Talk is they want a young american rookie (like Colton Herra or Pato O'Ward*) and then an experienced F1 Driver alongside. Daniel fits the bill from a marketing perspective, but not sure his heart is in F1 anymore.

*I realise Pato is not American, but he is in the US market.

George Russell being a flog, exhibit 485

“And like I said to you before, he cannot deal with adversity. He’s had the most dominant car in recent history for two-and-a-half years. I’m not questioning his driving abilities one single bit, but the second he does not have the fastest car…

“Let’s take Budapest as an example. He crashes into Lewis. He slams his whole team, and he loses the plot.

“Straight away after that race, 25 per cent of his engineering team were sending their CVs to Mercedes, to McLaren, to Aston Martin, because they said they can’t deal with a guy like that.

“And since Austria, he’s won the same number of races as six other drivers. So when you say is Max beatable, of course, he’s beatable. When he’s in the most dominant car, he is not beatable. The same way as Lewis and I, when we had the most dominant car, in Silverstone, in Las Vegas, we were not beatable either.”

“I think he’s been enabled because nobody’s stood up to him,” Russell said.

“Lewis stood up to him in 2021 and Lewis lost that championship unfairly. Could you imagine the roles being reversed and Max losing that championship in the manner that Lewis lost that championship. I mean, Masi would have been fearing for his life!

Alonso will rise again due to Newey.
Hamilton has always been the best and will be in a better car next season.
Newey will have very little to do with next years car, particularly early. He'll have his head down in the 2026 regs.

And Hamilton has NEVER been the best. He got smashed by George this year and Charles will do the same.

George and Max throwing wet lettuce leaves at 10 paces
BH I dont even think Max is really throwing anything. George is just trying his hardest to get everyones attention in time for the next series of DTS.

The season is practically over, not much else to talk about.

Great track in an amazing spot with a super atmosphere all weekend.

Big big shame, in the same ilk as Sepang, Hockenheim and Istanbul.

Murica and Arab money win again
Would the atmosphere be the same if Max wasn't there ?

The track is interesting because of the banking, but it really doesnt allow for much overtaking outside of the main straight.

Damn yeah if only a driver exactly like Bottas was a free agent for 2025
You reckon Bottas has still got it?

Been a bit hard to judge his ability in recent years, driving the shitbox Sauber.

Either way, Helmet Marko reportably is not convinced, so I doubt Valterri would be considered.

Unless something left field occurs (its F1, who knows) it appears as though Lawson or Yuki will get that seat, and then Hadjar will be promoted to RB.

Ferrari's Charles Leclerc has been given a 10-place grid penalty for the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix that will decide the constructors' championship between the Italian team and McLaren.

Ferrari have had to fit a new battery pack to Leclerc's car, taking them beyond their permitted allowance for the season.
