Correction- qualified for finals five times for 2 wins. Almost made that period sound like absolute sh*t 😉

My favourite part!!

Again Ask the Port Adelaide fans about Ken Hinley as coach. lol
In a weird way I want Port to win the flag just to see what their supporters say in the 'Sack Hinkley' thread right after the game.

I imagine instead of celebrating they will call for his sacking.

The fact not much mention of Essendon just goes to show how far that club has fallen.

Seems like everyone has forgotten they play in the AFL.

We had similarly deluded fans who wanted Chris Scott sacked right up until the 2022 finals campaign. Thankfully that chorus of wailing and whining "experts" died right down after that flag win.

Do you reckon Clarko would have still been at the helm at Hawthorn in 2016 if he had achieved nothing?

100% what will happen with Hinkley.
His coaching record n finals will be flaunted rather than mocked.

Since the turn of the 21st century we've mainly been competitive and have contented on a few occasions. (Unlike say Carlton lol)

However feels like no team has had worse luck than us and more heartbreak. The Milne bounce, the Hawkins post, G-train kicking his 100th, G. Wanganeen pulling an impossible goal out of his backside, recently getting screwed by NGA academy rules and being stuck mid table.

Just thinking about the 1971 grand final between saints and hawks. Saints were leading by 20 points at 3 quarter time. They would want that last quarter back.

Saints would want to change the last quarter of that 2009 grand final too.

There was also a grand final we won in like 1910 or something that the league just decided didn't count lol

This post isn't complete without mentioning McLeod, Jarman and Ellen.
