almost anything by Rolf de Heer.

Great selection, including the two De Heer vehicles (italics). Dance Me ... must have been one of the most difficult movies to make in damn history!

Everynight..Everynight ... if you like that, you'd love Ghosts... of the Civil Dead. You'd probably also like 'Stir' which is another corker.

Good to see The Boys and The Interview get a mention! I felt like I had bugs crawling around inside me while watching them.

For Rolf films, give Raven's Gate and The Quiet Room a burl!

And when it's eventually released as a feature film...

BLUE MURDER.

Best mini series easily.

Can't believe I forgot Stone is my initial list.

"Keep your spanners off our moles"

Forgot another called 'smoke 'em if you've got 'em'. A film about the nuclear holocaust in Australia. Its about a bunch of people who think if they are going to die anyway they will have a huge party in their bunker.

okay sorry 2 say but this is just getting stupid, the same old movies r getting posted here, there is no more any point of this thread :(

 That's odd. Why would you say there is no point to the thread if the same movies get multiple recommendations?

the point is to see what people's favourite Aussie movie is. If the same one keeps getting mentioned then it simply means that it's a popular one.

Watched the MONEY MOVERS last night. Fast, action-packed heist flick. Well worth a look.

Bloody brilliant flick that. Equal to any Hollywood entry in the heist genre.

Absolute corker that one!

For pace, though not the same subject matter, I recommend 'Ground Zero'.

In no particular order:

Mad Mad
Mad Max 2
The Club
Road Games
Stone
Romper Stomper
Death In Brunswick
Pharlap
Proof
Bad Boy Bubby
Looking For Alibrandi
Dogs in Space
Puberty Blues
Midnight Spares
The Rage In Placid Lake

Midnight Spares, that's an interesting one. My memory of it is hazy at best. Its a sort of 'Running On Empty', isn't it?

I haven't seen it for years but I remember that I really liked it. Yea, it's kinda Running on Empty/Gone in 60 secs.
