Great little film.

Very certain I can top Nugget for worst (though yes it is extremely bad).

Try Murrabinna. For aussie movies, that one is number last.

How about NIGHTMARES?

Starring a very young Gary Sweet in his film debut.

Written by John Michael-Howson.

An absolute disaster.

Others...

Hard Knocks
Running on Empty
Metal Skin
The Proposition
Josh Jarman

Agreed on this one. Very good flick.

Well yeah, but I won't knock any movie the great Colin Egglestone has had a hand in! Anything involving the bloke who directed Outback Vampires & SKy Pirates, not to mention Long Weekend (which actually IS good), has got to be worth a few bob.

So which would be the best or worst of the Rampaging Roy Slaven trilogy? Outback Vampires, Contagion or Rock'n'roll Cowboys? :)

^^^ bump ^^^

Just found this while googling around, and noticed no-one mentioned Stork!

Stork - "Well, couldn't we start with a quick, total relationship, and drift back to something cerebral later?"
~~~~~
Stork - "I call them chunderscapes, kid. They're, err, non-figurative."
~~~~~
Stork - "Give it a rest. A hundred degrees below and no molls?"
~~~~~
Stork - "Drive, moll, drive."
~~~~~
Stork - "Stork travels, light, boy. Clothes he wears and half a D."
~~~~~
Stork - "Take away your title. Take away your wig. Take away your robes and what have you got?" Judge - "Six months for indecent exposure."
~~~~~
Stork - "Hey, how's the moll situation around here?"
~~~~~
Anna - "Yes, well I think I'll leave you gentlemen to it." Stork - "Knows her place."
~~~~~
Stork - "Now don't get snakey with me, moll."
~~~~~
Stork - "Yeah? On with the both of them?" Anna - "I wouldn't put it as bluntly as that." Stork - "Call a spade a spade, moll."
I was going to go on a long rant about the state of Australian cinema, but decided to STFU and just list my favourites.
Picnic at Hanging Rock – best Aussie film that I have seen – I really need to check out more of Peter Weirs early work. PaHR is so eerie and atmospheric, the way Weir makes the very landscape seem menacing is incredible.
Chopper – probably the most entertaining Aussie film I’ve seen, a gem
Ghosts of the Civil Dead – unflinchingly bleak and gruelling – don’t think I could watch it again, but an excellent film regardless
Bliss – would love to see this odd one again
The Castle – I still remember laughing in delight at this film when I first saw it at the cinema
Spotswood – Anthony Hopkins comes to the Western suburbs ! Look busy !
Death in Brunswick – worth it for John Clarke’s performance alone.
Muriel’s Wedding – Bill Hunter is awesome in this.
The Club
Australian Rules
Emoh Ruo – can only vaguely recall this movie but I liked it when I was a lot younger – perhaps because it had Joy Smithers bewbs in it quite a bit .. ?
I really need to watch all of Gallipoli, seen chunks of it but sadly I’ve never seen the whole thing, an oversight on my part !
Can’t really remember the Big Steal, I *think * it was ok ?
Malcolm had it’s moments.
Lastly, I remember catching approx. half of The Year My Voice Broke on t.v. (SBS ?) yeeeears ago and it looked really good, might have to follow up on that one too ..
Loved "The Bank".
Need to see Balibo and Gettin' Square.
Haven't heard of that other one.
Re Year My Voice Broke, here's more tasters for that Cursed Cat up there ^
Danny - "Please, God, help her not to draw the curtains ... I meant the blinds as well."
~~~~~~~~~

Trevor - "I can always get me first name. Way you know when you're really drunk, s'when you can get your second one as well. What my old man taught me. Longest I ever got was my whole name plus three letters. But I was bustin', I'd been savin' up all day."

~~~~~~~~~
Freya - "I hope you hypnotize me again, someday."
~~~~~~~~~

Sally - "All the older kids know. She's terrible, your sister. They reckon there's a list in the boys toilets of all the guys who've gone through her. She's a nymphomiac."

~~~~~~~~~
Jonah - The abos know all about it. The whole world's a ... a museum. Everything that's ever happened in a place, it's all there."
~~~~~~~~~

Danny - "I was so stuck on Frey, couldn't think of anything else. I used to try sending her thought messages, about what a fascinating and desireable person I was. I'd send them so hard that I'd have to stop, in case I short-circuited my brain and became a moron."
