quite simple really.

Simple is an over-compliment for that shit in a bottle.

Has anybody had the Leatherwood Porter from Dark Isle Brewery in Tasmania?
Boags Honey Porter would have to have been one of the finest tasting beers ever and I'm sure this stuff would be similar

When I was in San Francisco last year I got hooked on a beer called Sierra Nevada fantastic drop.

Despite popular opinion the USA has some awesome beers, especially the boutique ones.

So true...people think "Bud, Miller, Michelob" as being the only beers Americans drink, but they're generally the same people stuck under a rock with a CUB/Tooheys/Castlemaine in their hands. Did you have the Anchor Steam while in SF, Bosun?

One I wouldn't recommend - Monteith's Summer Ale. Maybe the beer wasn't cold enough or the weather wasn't warm enough, but the honey was too prominent and the taste too flat.

.

Certainly did and that was damn good too. Work sent me over there for a 6 week contract in Mountain View (about 90 min train ride south of San Fran) and the blokes I was working with took me out to these great little bars and Sierra Nevada really stood out. Im pretty sure Anchor Steam had a really good dark ale that went down a treat.

They took me to a monday night football match at Stanford Uni so I did indulge in the miller then however I was quite drunk and it seemed to be the only one available (from what I can remember).

Im trying to remember some of the other boutique beers they had on tap there were quite a few.

Have bought and drank a six pack of James Squire Sundown Lager. Will be puchasing a slab of it next time I'm in Dan Murphys. Very easy to drink!

Is this a newie or a limited release? Sounds like a summer BBQ beer:thumbsu:.

Had me some Prickly Moses beers from the Otways today. The Wheat Beer was OK, but the Otway Ale has a bit more guts & gone down a treat!

Little Creatures are the beer of choice right now - can't get enough of the taste. Honourable mentions are to the Pilsners supplied by James Squires, but also MooBrew which is set out of Hobart.
Drinking the LC Pale Ale at the moment, and can't get enough of the stuff.

Anything from the Otways Brewery is awesome. Some of the best beers :thumbsu:

The Clotworthy Dobbin.

3-person brewery joins the big boys

"Sometimes it's best not to be one of the big boys. An ale produced by a small Northern Ireland brewery has been named one of the best 50 beers in the world at the International Beer Challenge 2007."

Liquid gold. It's hard to describe
- heavy, but not like a stout/ porter
- fruity - but not hoppy
- A little bit fizzy and a little bit sweet.

Nectar

Any tried Efes Pilsener? It's a Turkish beer, and I've had it twice and could get very messy on it if time and money was on my side.
