Fev requests to go to Pies or Saints - Confirmed

With Collingwood's past, of completely overrating their list, I doubt there will be a deal done.

I would want Nathan Brown, Chris Dawes and Pick 14 at the very least. I would also want them to absorb atleast 500,000 of his pay. I can't see them agreeing to that deal.

To all those stating he is our forward line........

Let me state that you shut him down you shut Carlton down....

Geelong don't have a dominant forward and have been the team to beat.....I would rather get someone like a Kosi who will bring our numerous talented mids/forward into the game.....We will not be a one man band....

This is a Great move by Carlton, 5 yrs too late but still great!

That's not going to happen, which is why I do agree, no deal will be done.

I'd be happy to give up Dawes, our first round and our third round for him. Wouldn't want to give up Brown, he is our full back for the next ten years.

Also i reckon we'd be one of the few clubs, and the only club in the top eight that could afford to pay all of Fev's contract. I reckon that would appeal to Carlton if we offer to take on his whole contract.

Not overly sure if i want him or not, but getting him would give us a chance in the next few years of having a big crack at the premiership, and that would be worth it.

Devastated and suprised. Well, it was a big call by the Club. The issue is what we'll get for him from any trade. Not sure what the exit-clause was in the contract, and I am not sure how much say we have in where he goes. Because of the situation, at best we'll get a late first round pick plus another player. Not great. What will happen if the Blues don't get an acceptible offer? Will they keep him? Lots of questions still. :)

He will most likely stay as a trade may never happen. But it might be the wake up call he needs.

But he is worth 2 first rounds if not no trade. The club shows the younger players a firm but fair club and Fev gets a wake up call. Win / Win.

Did anyone actually listen to what Eddie was saying on the radio. He has been trying since last monday to keep fev at carlton.

It depends really on how bad the blood is between Carlton and Fev.

If it is as bad as some are saying they will except a reasonable deal.

You may have a coleman medalist up for trade.... but he comes with a lot of baggage to bring his trade price down.

As long as we get some good young talent to the club I'm all for it. People might say I'm crazy but I've been saying this for the past 2 years. Now is the time to get maximum value for him.

Having said that, I don't think any club will satisfy Carltons demands and I honestly believe he will stay a Blue.

Saints wouldnt even think of him:thumbsdown:
and if he goes to the pies he is just trying to piss every blues supporter off and who would Collingwood trade us, and didnt Eddie say they werent intrested in him like 3 days ago:confused:

Yes, it is true that the Pies are not keen on pursuing Fev.

However, the landscape has changed considerably in the last 3 days, especially if rumours are correct and Fev wants either Pies or Saints.

No deal will be done and Blues fans will sleep easy 2.01pm Friday afternoon next week.

Umm..... Is your real name Derek Hine, Eddie McGuire or Mick Malthouse?

Agree that will be VERY hard for the clubs to deal but you cannot say things and claim them as fact......

Confirmed on radio
SEN?

Who was directly quoted? Fev? Swann?.......or was it Laurie from Armidale?

Saints couldn't do the deal, wouldn't want him (remember the reason they passed on Cousins) and wouldn't need him. Too big the risk, too little the reward.

Pies, well yes he may be a good fit. Premiership window in 3-4 years (maybe), with Rocca and maybe a couple of others going may have some room in the cap.........but what could they offer that we'd accept?

IMO they'd need to offload a player to try and get a top 6-7 pick and pass that onto us with another pick or player.

Lets say, pick 4-6 with pick 14 or Nathan Brown.
