Re: Anti Fev trade protest @ Visy Park this weekend

hahaha @ cold cold graves. reminds me of the simpsons ep "homer, can you stop talking about the kids cold, cold graves?"

on a serious note, what a joke! this protest will do more harm than good and attract even more media attention (if that's possible)

How the hell could this protest do any more harm ???

Richmond bowed down to fan pressure and drafted Cousins, which worked out allright for them in the end...

Some of us feel very strongly about this issue, and don't want Fev traded ...
Frankly a peaceful protest outside club HQ would be a more effective measure of showing the club our displeasure, rather then abusive emails and phone calls.

Re: Petition

My wife and 2 kids are all members. I have emailed the club and told them I'm not signing up again. I'm not the only one.

Everyone is free to have their opinion.....for me I think Carlton have been sucked in by the media who are desperately in need of AFL stories.

I think we are gone next year without Fev.

PS....was there any senior Carlton staff present on Brownlow night that could have had a word to Fev or ushered him out of the Crown??

Ok see ya later.

This is the Carlton Football Club.........NOT the Brendon Fevola Football Club.
Im disappointed with the decision myself (my 2 boys love Fev) but if the club have done this, They must have their reasons.
People suggesting that the media drove Calron to this are kidding themselves.........theirs obviously more to it.

Re: Petition

LOL I heard he smacked Warren Tredrea :D

Anyhow if he whacked a couple of knobs like Brown and Tredrea, and put James Bradshaw in a headlock, which one of us could condemn him for assaulting those 'tossers' ..

In fact I give it two thumbs up :) :thumbsu: :thumbsu:
Many of a time i punch my TV when i see that overrated footballer Nathan Brown, how on earth has he been in a football club since those injuries. He has been ordinary to rubbish and has some clubs still interested in that.

Re: Petition

lmao god you carlton supporters are dicksss let the club do what they have to do you think there gunner listen to you no if they give in to use thats weakkkkkkk!!!!!!!!! but hey use always have been.

Re: Anti Fev trade protest @ Visy Park this weekend

the club is not going to change their mind so there's no point in protesting

Re: Anti Fev trade protest @ Visy Park this weekend

I feel very strongly about the issue and I don't want Fev traded either. But surely a group of us going down there isn't going to make much of a difference?

I really don't wanna see Fev leave but IMO the last thing we need is another story in the papers about this issue. Yes, it could turn out to get some positive press but what are the chances of that happening?

Re: Anti Fev trade protest @ Visy Park this weekend

Put it in writing. Tell the club you think it's a dumb idea. Tell them your expectations of his trade value if it comes to that. Tell them you won't accept the club slipping backwards next year. Tell them if they don't deliver you'll vote accordingly. That way they'll know what criteria they're being measured against, and the club isn't made to look like a rabble in public.

Far too sensible an idea for the Facebook generation... and more effective to boot.

As if a protest is what this club needs right now. Media would be all on it pumping up the numbers for effect. We need unity FFS, which is no doubt one of the reasons Fev is going to be put on the table.

Let's back our club. Afterall, they are in possession of all the facts. I'm sick of bad press surrounding the club and let's not just blame the media, who have actually been pretty kind to us this year. It's Elliott and Fev that shot us in the foot and we need to cut the rot.

So you're saying you want to be like Richmond...

Re: Petition

We should all celebrate at Carltons stance , not be sad. A few years too late but at least it has come. I for one am very happy. Yeah he didn't kill someone, however he's not in jail either. If he did what he has done over the years at any other job, he would have been sacked years ago. It is a culmination of ten years of cockups and finally Carlton has had the Balls to do something about it.

Re: Anti Fev trade protest @ Visy Park this weekend

HA HA

Apparently there is two now, on Saturday and Sunday :)

Like it or not, supporters have an democratic right to protest surely ???
Good one Celtic if Fevola traded and we have a poor season we should also not let the board/president and coach get away with no excuse why we struggled.

They can all leave their position and the board will be challenged and it will get messy.

you'd happily take him and his baggage wouldnt you, you muppet??? Piss off to your own board and come back with a first rounder and Nathan Brown and Rusling at a minimum!

If this club pulls its pants down in this trade i'll go ballistic! He is the coleman medalist he is worth a firs rounder and a gun player, i still wouldn't trade him.

Re: Petition

They have shown some balls and some character.

Should they stand up for players who repeatedly crap on them by the way?
It's extremely unfortunate and disappointing that none of those "ballsy" officials stood up for Fev on Brownlow night and demanded that Fev not be served any more alcohol. Or better yet demand that he be requested to leave the premises....

Although I don't condone Fevs' antics I think that Crown, and the Club had a duty of care to not allow Brendan to get to the state he was, it's no secret that he has a problem controlling himself when drunk, it's times like that any sensible person would take steps to ensure that he was controlled both before, and during the evening. it was poorly handled both during and after the night.

Re: Anti Fev trade protest @ Visy Park this weekend

How do we know?

-You start a thread about it

-Your supporting it

Getting a good laugh aren't ya?

As said, piss off back down the highway hand bagger :thumbsu:

Must be killing crack_pipe it switched clubs before the Cats came good. How typical it raises its snot-nosed head when internal trouble abounds. Never anything positive just its usual shit-throwing and enjoyment at someone's (anyone's) misery. Sad this place's holiday from it recently had to end. It's a tumour that needs excising.

Re: Anti Fev trade protest @ Visy Park this weekend

If I was Carlton, I would take pictures of all the loosers at the Trade protest and refuse to renew there memberships for being happy with mediocrity.

Re: Anti Fev trade protest @ Visy Park this weekend

Piss off back down the Highway where you belong CP.

This is stupidity. Name one mistake the club has made over the last couple of years? Swann, Icke etc have done a fantastic job of getting this club out of the gutter.
From Pratt becoming pres, to Judd choosing us, our future cemented, Training facilites second to none. Sponsors jumping on board....Hyundai,Malaysia etc

..........surely they deserve a bit of trust in this matter.
:thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown:
I told you this will split the members if a good deal isn't done, the club have to pull of a magic trick out of the hat and i can't see it.

Carlton not making the 8 next year will anger a lot of people especially if the picks are just a couple of over the hill ex good player.

Most good clubs have a up and coming big forward or have them like Hawthorn,Adelaide,Sydney,Brisbane,Essendon,Eagles and St kilda. Geelong have also they have mooney and Hawkins who are pretty good with a magnificient list that we haven't got.

The only club that hasn't is the Bulldogs but the team have plenty of talent all over the ground unlike ours.

Carlton have no one but Fevola, Kreuzer is a Ruckmen don't destroy him there this only leaves Mark Austin or Caleb Tiller as project or that Luke Stanton rookie.

Re: Anti Fev trade protest @ Visy Park this weekend

Some of you need to open your eyes...

Do you really think the whole story of what Fev did at the brownlow has come out??

I pretty sure this is the easiest way for this situation to go away...

If it goes the other way, it will embarrass the club and many other people a lot more..

Leave it be Facebookers...

Re: Anti Fev trade protest @ Visy Park this weekend

The guy who started it on the CSC website said that its Sunday at 11.00am.. I informed him that no one (Ratts,Swann etc) will be there to protest to, and even if they were, giving them 4 days notice will mean Ratts and Co will definately make sure they're not there.. I said yr best opportunity is tomorrow if yr serious.
He then said good idea An in 2 minutes made it for tomorrow and Sunday.. I dont know where Saturday came in.. But its very unorganised...

Mate if Fevola gone they better have plan b at least with those picks and bring in Barry Hall at Fulll Forward.

The best way is to hold renewing your membership or renew it and then sack them all from the board and get new blood in there.

I will renew mine because i'm a Carlton guy but if we fail i want the guys gone simple as that they had their time.
